Its so horrible not drinking. At first it was fine as i felt so sick, but now that has passed the craving for a nice cold glass of wine is almost unbearable. I have tried Elsberg, Green Ridge both of which claim to be 'wine' with the alcohol removed. They just taste like pop though, like cold sparkling strawberry or grape juice.

I know a few years back you could get booze free beer, i remeber thinking that it was really gay at the time- but now maybe it might be useful. Anyone try it? Does it taste like the real deal, more so- is it still around.

I tried some alcohol-free Becks a few weeks ago and I have to say it was actually OK. Nothing at all like that Kaliber-piss-water. :naughty:

Just reminded me actually... a long time ago when I used to work down at Wans Cantonese some bloke once asked me for a Kaliber shandy. I honestly nearly soiled myself!

Don't do it :naughty:. Barbican (which might have been called Kaliber later) was awful.

In both instances that Caitlin was pregnant I think she just didn't drink, because all of the booze-free stuff was just gash.

Jonno used to take me to Wans when we first met, he got mad as i could eat with chopsticks and he had to ask for a fork so we stopped going.Lol in the mans defence, he might of just wanted the taste of a shandy but might not of been able to dring alcohol- who knows lol. Cheers for the Becks info, i shall try and get some.

I know, its just so very hard. I just really fancy it, i miss the taste, the feel of a glass in my hand, the social aspect. Its just wierd never drinking anything other than pop or water as i don't like cups or tea anymore. I was hoping to find one that was sort of real tasting.

I am all worried about fetal alcohol syndrome so i won't touch a drop, i know it sounds silly but i really can't bring myself to have anything even remotely harmfull. I hate even standing near someone who smokes at the mo, honest i am tragic lol.

Haha, always makes me laugh when I see you put that

Jonno, you should just put this in your sig:

"Lol, again people this simply isn't true."

:D

now now amilie, thats not fair, i thought u were gonna tell me somewhere i could get free booze then...........quite disappointed lol.

i think all of the things that are meant to b booze without the booze r always gonna b dissatisfyin (sp) jus cause its the alcohol that gives it the kick and the edge.

i dunno what to suggest really, what bout tryin a naturally fermented drink, theres somethin called "quinns" which is made entirely from fruit, even the alcohol is comletely natural
