Yeah, either that or someone on here was taking the piss. I think the latter is the most probable! :p

well that's what i thought, indeed a lot of people were pointing th efinger at you if you read the whole thread mate.. ;) But having read the thread and the many people who reckon it is genuine, the old romantic in me wants to believe it is him.. :D

I'm inclined to believe him. Why would anyone logged on in Italy (IP address) want to come on here pretending to be ASHA? It's not like he's even nearly famous over there.

The history seems to match up as well. Although, that could have been researched.

I'm suprised there haven't been more old skool DJ's, producers who have been on here. If you type the names of tunes in google, this site comes up straight away.

Still a top thread.

If it is you and you are the real A.S.H.A then please answer this question

Who was the A&R guy at FFRR/LONDON records when they signed the tune for UK release??

I know this person. So i dont need anyone else but A.S.H.A answering me...

ASHA said:
ASHA in Italian = Axe in English , this was a nickname of our first manager Lello ....... (he used a mixer like a AXE ........ not mixed ....... cut the song !!!!!!!!!).

Well, soz for digging up an old thread, but I met an Italian guy at work tonight, and remembered this thread....

"axe" in Italian is "accetta" so me thinks this is total bollocks! Come on, own up - who was taking the piss? :p

Yes it is the literal translation. But it was Dario and he spoke / wrote very poor english.
There are various dialects of Italian just as there are of English.

For example:
English: "Axe" Translates, as you said into accetta

However the sentence.....
English: "Oh my god! There's an axe in my head." translates into -

Dio mio! C'e' un' ascia nella mia testa!

Ascia pronounced ASHA.

Your Italian friend wasn't born in England by any chance was he :)

I can't believe i finally meet the genius who helped produce the greatest Piano House track of all time

Except my apologies for not believing you, and welcome to the board

Thanks Spiely,
but "genius" is too important word for using for it.
So ........ after this forum I speake with the other 2 producer of ASHA (Paolo Galeazzi and Maurizio Parafioriti), they are very happy of the attention for JJ TRIBUTE in this forum.
Next week I will meet with us and .............. maybe ASHA live again.
Ciao

IT WAS DARIO (ASHA) !

Although i am sure we (myself included initially) have probably fucked him off calling him a blagger all the time :$

Peace :) :gigolo:

lol for gods sake guys it was him. but hes gone now. erm nice one :fekked:
Lol, I know, why would someone come over and pretend to be him, answer a series a set of questions correctly (not just one set but about 4 ffs) etc, and still people don't believe it's him!

At the end of the day, it's just some bloke who made a record that didn't sell many copies in Italy, sold a few more over here, and that's it. Don't get me wrong it's an absolutely amazing track, but it's only thought so in very specialised circles. We're not talking Eric Clapton or Paul McCartney coming on here are we :axe:

lolol I know, everyone's responding as if he's some sort of international superstar who doesnt have time to post on our modest little forum!

Poor fucker, everyone giving him the Spanish inquisition, when all he wanted to do was say hi, and ask a few questions lol

You lot need to stay off the ching, it's making you all para!:p

Maybe he decided not to come back on the board once somebody told him that every time his record was played it has to be accompanied a mix into Young MC!! LOL
