Hi,
What make is it (Blaupunkt, Clarion etc)? If you get the serial number off it (you have to take it out, the serial number is on the casing) I may be able to decode it. I have some software at the garage that decodes some (but not all) car stereos based on the serial number. If you don't fancy taking it out, and don't mind spending a bit of cash (usually about £25) then go into the nearest Renault dealership with your v5 document. They will tell you the code based on the reg number of the car, provided it is the standard stereo that came with the car when it was new. Let me know if you need me to decode it for you.
Mike.
Hi,
I'll try for you. The software does cover some Philips players. In the meantime don't try and guess it - you only get a couple of goes and then you're locked out for ages. My sister's kids wrecked her stereo beyond repair trying to enter made-up codes! I'll post up when I've had a chance to check for you.
Mike.
hello m8 i work at a renault dealership and the easiest way is to contact the selling dealer direct they shud have it on record under the cars details, also if u have the service and handbook for the car it usually is in the front of the service book for the car. hope that helps ya m8 if not then any renault dealer can access the code for u, at a cost, but that is the code for the original stereo fitted when built
