Little drummer boy, without a shadow of a doubt, the funny 'wish I was a t hoooome for christmaaaaaaaas....' version with the deep male voice singing.

IMy top three festive songs are:

1, The Waitresses- Christmas Wrapping.

oh is that the one that goes on about 'the smallest turkey in the world' or something? Always wondered what that was called...

other ones i quite like are

happy christmas war is over - john and yoko

johnny mathis - when a child is born  back home, xmas night spent in our old local was a tradition for all our lot , was always rammed. A right old party. Our old landlady used to absolutely insist on putting this on the jukebox and everyone singing along was practically compulsary :D  and I dont remember anyone in that pub ever letting her down, any year  You kind of became fond of it / sentimental about it whether you wanted to or not. :)

Santa Baby

fairytale of New York - Pogues

White Christmas ~ The sort of song that reminds me of my Grandad

Chris Rea - Driving home for Christmas. Especially since I was stupid enough to move far away from home :axe:

The Original Band Aid song ... was there anyone in the country who didnt get this on 7" at Christmas 1984? :D:D

winter wonderland

lol, looking at that list maybe im not such a bah humbug after all  :D

I love the one by Mike Oldfield, the name is something in Latin.

It's kind of folky, but then the electric guitar thingy kicks in and it rocks!

Da, da, da, da, da, dum, dum. Da, da, da, da, da, dum, dum.

You can never ever do songs right like this can you. It clearly goes:

Da dum de dum de dum de dum, da dum de dum de dum dum.

Its like Guru Josh's Infinity. You reck it goes (on the main bit) 'nerr nerr nerr, nerr nerr, nerr nerr, nerr nerr'.

Where i am poz there is an extra 'nerr' in the later bits. 'nerr nerr nerr, nerr nerr nerr, nerr nerr nerr, nerr nerr nerr'.

I also really like the pretenders 2000 miles and love Frankie goes to Hollywood ~ The power of love. Although i'm not entirely sure why this is a Christmas song as such , perhaps barring the fact it was out at Xmas, and if i remember correctly the video had them dressed as the wise men / three kings or whatever  but the song / lyrics itself arent Christmassy / Xmas related unless i'm missing something
Anyway , I like it. :D

When you've just finished watching a good christmas movie and the end credits roll with a bit of seasonal goodwill music, you can't beat it to keep the spirits lifted:cool: :D

Top movie, just get it on DVD and fuck the Christmas Telly off (it's usually shit anyway)

Another one that springs to mind, always reminds me of Christmas (probs cos it might have come out around Christmas time?)

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - The Power Of Love
