Winrar Files

Need a bit of help guys, I've downloaded the DJ Barry Jay "Replay" mix (part 1 and 2) from the gold mixes section and had to get the Winrar software first, so that i could open the zip file.

Problem is, when i go to the file in my MIXES folder in My Documents, i open up the Winrar icon and all the tracks are seperate, instead of one long mix ?????????:S

Everybody else on the feedback is saying they've burnt the mix off onto cd for in the car and stuff, so is it just me being a mong ??? :$ do i have to reset something in the menu on the Winrar file or something ?????

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

haven't downloaded this mix myself, but it sounds like its been trackmarked into separate tracks
all you have to do is burn them on a cd (in the right order) with a 0 second pregap you will then get a seamless mix and the track number changes with each new tune

ooeerr that sounds really complicated, but it isn't really!!

If all the tracks are separate then it has nothing to do with winrar, you may need an mp3 joiner to join em!

i once had a mix that was split into about a dozen trackz and when it was burned to cd there was a gap in between the trackz, not what one wants.

i tried all types of joining programs and different ways of burning the mp3's and never achieved the desired result, the one and only way that i know for sure to make them as one long mix without any gaps is to use a program called Adobe Audition, this program lets you import the separate trackz and then pull them together and saving the finished file.

the latest version of nero ha a little check box on main screen saying something like "no gaps between tracks" just click that and it removes any gaps (usually!) quite well.

are you using nero

If you are using nero to burn your cds here is an easy guide,
open start smart
set the disk type to cd (at the top of the menu)
click on the little music icon
click on make a cd (make sure you are opening with nero express)
click on the add files button on the right hand side
find the file and black off all of the tracks and click on the add button
close the add files and folders screen and check the no pause between tracks box on the bottom right hand side
click on the next button
select which drive you are using to burn the cd with, add the cd title and text if you want and then click the burn button on the bottom right hand side
the drive you selected to burn with should open up to let you put a cd in, put your blank cd in and it will do the rest itself.

If you dont have nero let me know and i will get a copy to you somehow. Im sorry if the instructions are a little bit condescending, but it they will work if you follow them. if you need any more help send me a message and i will help you all that i can

That works fine when you're working with wav files but not mp3's. You will always get a tiny ammount of noticible silence at the start and end of an mp3

If you've got a bunch of mp3's like the Barrie Jay mix and you want it to play perfect on CD, then you'll have to get some audio editing software and edit each track, save as wav, then burn with no gaps between tracks.
