One year my mum was very skint, due to reasons beyond her control....so...she decided theres only one thing for it, i will have to make their presents by hand :)

On xmas morning me and my sister came down stairs ....

I had the most amazing wendy house i had ever seen ,made out of an old frame and the cover must have taken her hours to make with felt stitchings of fairies, princesses flowers , with sequins evreywhere and the curtains were lace it was magical

My mum found an old dolls cot from somewhere and decorated it with pink lace ,bows and silk bedding which also took her hours at night to make for my sister :)

We both had tiny dolls made into faries in half a cocunut shell each edged in fur and silk which was its bed
Because they were so unique we thought we had been given special presents that year by santa. I never forgot that year ;)

Thats a beautifull story..
its the same thing here,i was 9 years of age,i,m 34 now! my dad pissed of with my moms best friend.(Leaving my mother) With no money!and 3 lads to buy presents for.Anyway we woke up christmas day,to no Dad,But a beautifull mother who had gone out her way, with no money,And got us what she could,As i{AND MY TWO BROTHERS)opened our presents,We could see they were second hand,But that never mattered to me,It was the thought beyond the present that mattered,It was only November last year i went up to see my mom.She burst out crying saying she felt bad, about all those years ago! Giving us second hand presents,...
She passed away 4 weeks later!
Tell you what,it was the best christmas i ever had,
and i told her that..
God bless you mom.
