hi people how we all doing as some of you know me and musicpauljohn lost our mom in december she was 55.
i was wondering what you would give all your tunes away for.
me and paul was chatting about this and we said we would loose everything just to spend 30 mins with our mom again.
we love music big time but when it comes to it no matter how important it is to us all family is always the most precious thing and free gift you could ever get in life.
sometimes people dont realise this until it is ripped away from you.
so come on what would you swop your tunes for if anythin...

yes me too would give away my tunage for half hour with my dad again.

taken suddenly and he lives in lancs i live in Brum so never got to have my last conversation with him until he couldnt reply.

lifes twist and turns are eventful and out of the ordinary but i deffo appreciate the time i have more now than ever before and my dad knew how music made me feel he even liked some of it.

remember him coming into my room after i got a copy of synthesis - house time and saying put that on again its a good sound.

good thread lads. My mum got told 3 weeks ago that she had cancer and there wsnt much they could do really. Still tryin to get my head around the fact that she might not be there at some point soon, very surreal. Anyway, i only thought the same thing though the other day, would give up Everything, and definitely my record collection, to cure her. The thread that Paul did too, 'what does music mean to you', well i understand the true jist of it and understand / appreciate peeps comments purely from the point of view that music gives enjoyment, but i realised about 3 weeks ago it doesnt mean much compared to your family.

mate cherish every single moment with her we thought we was ready for it but everyday is hard some good some bad.
stay strong for her keep her posotive this was our approach even when she was really ill we tried to make her smile but i know its hard mate

I am really sorry to hear that mate and as GINGKID75 said, cherish every single moment.

My mum was diagnosed with secondary lung cancer summer last year and was given roughly a year to live.
In December, after more tests, she was told the cancer had spread to her brain and they didn't even think she'd see Christmas.
She died last Saturday, cremation was on Friday.
It seems like only last week when we were told she had lung cancer, when it was over 6 months ago, and although it has been the worst 6 months of my life you have no idea how quickly it has passed.
There were days when I stayed away because I couldnt face seeing her like that. My mum, who I loved so much, suffering and there was not a single thing I could do to help. But I so regret those missed moments now she has gone, and would give anything to just be able to go back and spend as much time with her as I could/should have done.

My mum used to always say to me "when you lose your mum you lose your best friend" and it's only during this last week that I have realised how true those words are.

Yes m8 i understand everything your saying my mum was also taken from me n r kid quite abruptly at the age of 49 - we played dilema in spirit at her funeral and i cant listen to it anymore. i also swap my records to have my little lulu back too my ickle doggy who got poorly just over a yr ago miss both of them badly
