ffs:mad: i tried to bite my lip about this thread before but i just cant.

The young mc vs asha was originally done by nipper(i believe) back in the day,and pt copied it and has played it ever since.to be fair it sounds ok wen done properly, but its neva been recognised as any1 in particular's tune, and so over the years ppl have just done it themselves and had it pressed to vinyl, passing it off as simply young mc vs asha-know how tribute and selling it now and again on ebay.the mp3 copy i got a cuple of years ago sounds like a bag of shite, its not a mash up at all reli, all it is is know how(with a tiny asha piano sample at the beginning),and then jj tribute cuming in on the 2nd or 3rd verse, whereby the asha piano only reli fits in with the lyrics for a few lines.if ne1s that botherd bout getting it i wud advise to simply do it urself,or find even the most amature of djs to do it for you.

now wot reli got me angry is the mentioning of this maw vs white stripes tune, which is utter shite yet all the retro lovers r ravin over it.the guy who paid that 160 odd quid for it only wanted it for the mp3!pt cains the tune now,its not had a proper release just a shitty white label that not many ppl know of cos tbh its poor, the pella just doesnt go with the song at all.these kids just get caught up in the wholething and finish up paying way over the odds for a shit 'rare' bootleg that soon gets ripped to mp3 and is spread around so much that the vinyl becomes worth fuk all anyway even to the daft kids who like to have their eyes taken out on shit tunes just because the title says 'as played by paul taylor'.

yes,the conmen r knobs and shudnt do wot they do with regard to selling vinyl, but they only do it cos most of the time naive kids fall for it and they can get away with it.if ppl wer a bit more cautious and cud see through these rip off deals then the conmen wudnt have any business and be forced to stop their scams.yes, when they tell barefaced lies thats different and totally unacceptable, but alot of the time its just overexaggeration and advertising that dupes the kids, this is a less than ideal world we live in,and lets face it,if for example i rip u off by selling sumthing for more than its worth, then ur the fool for buying it,not me for selling it.

mate we all know about the mix and who did it first!... was just curious to know what its like on vinyl... f*ck knows why i bought it - as i have the two original tunes me sen... im a dick! but if it is that crappy shitty little bootleg effort which everyone has then its refund city for me... which indeed i think it will be as i bought kathys passion off the same dood and it aint all to shabby quality wise... ive asked for a refund on that one and indeed i will on this if it turns out to be a pile of sh!te!..

right, lets clear this up

right i'll clear this up for you all as its me selling them on ebay.
1. asha vs young mc - this is on a white label that i bought from ebay over a year ago. i don't know who's done the mix or what, but i bought it and now i have both tunes on there own i don't want it anymore so thought i'd sell it again. its not on any label and doesn't have any cat number, but nobody who bid on it on ebay asked any of these questions. as all of you on hear seem to know it has never been a proper released vinyl so someone has made it, i bought it and now i'm selling it on.

2. masters at work vs white stripes - i bought this from ebay and got the mp3 that i wanted. i then relisted it and some tosser bid on 3 of my records for a total of 220 quid and then refused to pay. he had feedback of zero when he bid so i should of knocked back his bids.

i then reported him to ebay for non payment and he left he a load of bad feedback. i've sold over 200 things on ebay so i'm hardly gonna send people records snapped in half. if i sell records on ebay that are worth over 30 quid then i always send them special delivery, and there are people on here that will back that up. the tosser was just some little prick who thought he'd waste my time, and you can tell that by looking at the feedback he left me, saying i was homosexual wid aids.

the white stripes tune is just on a white label and as far as i'm aware has never been on any other label. so because of the ebay user 'suttoncrew' i had to relist all my records, which costs me money, plus never got the 220 quid that he was supposed to pay for the records and then cos he's some stupid kid, i get bad feedback for fuck all reason. so from now on anybody bidding on my items with less than 5 feedback will have their bids blocked as i don't need tossers like that wasting my time.

hope this has cleared some things up

Good on ye for clearing it up mate, fair play to you.

One seperate question though - and im purely being curious - how about those Parra Dice - Can You hear Me that you sold on ebay and got neg feedback on? The write-up you did was quite ambiguous which was why I didnt bid, but where they the original on Gorgeous or where they a bootleg? or where they the one-sided Nurlan Seiger remix which got released not long back?

Cheers, Ant

parra dice

one of them was the new 2006 mix and the other was a 1 track white label. the buyers did never use the 'ask a qustion' on ebay and ask what label they were on or anything about the record.

then they are unhappy when its not the gorgeous release. the best thing about ebay if you are unsure about an item is to ask about it. don't just bid then throw a strop because of your mistakes.

"the best thing about ebay" is that you can get people like yourself exposed as con-artists. Why the fuck should people have to be on their guard against dickwipes tryin to blag that a tune is somethin else? you need your fuckin head seeing to if you think its the buyers fault. No wander that lad Suttoncrew fucked you over with other sales, by the sound of it you deserve it.

how can i tell people what record label and catalogue number records are if they don't have them, if they are white labels they don't have numbers. and anytime people ask me i am always happy to tell them.

on these 2 auctions though you have misled people by putting "WOW * CHECK THIS OUT, AND ITS NOT THE CHEAP BOOTLEG *" in the title. this would tell people that it isnt a bootleg/white label and that it would be the original. when in fact if its a "white label" then it is a "cheap bootleg" :axe:

Then you'd just put on the ebay listings "white label" or "unknown label" Surely that's pretty obvious?

If you listed Parra Dice and put "not a bootleg" then everyone's going to assume that it's the release on Gorgeous Records, unless you put "white label" or "remix".

Or, add a picture of the record...

So why not just put that in the listings?

If you were selling a car would you just put "car for sale" and then expect people to contact you to find out the make, model, year and mileage?

But if you dont know what the cat no's are or labels etc you should at least give as much detail as possible. You have already stated that you knew one of them were the 2006 remix but that was never mentioned in your listing. I would have been pissed too if i had bought your tune thinking it was the orig on global. Surely you can see the error of your ways. You can learn by this thread though if your willing too or alterntively you can keep ripping clueless people off and then running the risk of repercussions later.
