Hello all at the OSA, my fellow work collegue mr Davey10 told me about this site after a 2 hour conversation (all about dance tunes, its great to meet another like minded person into the same stuff as you:turn: ) well my story started way back in the early 80's with robotics, we used to get a good crowd gathering once buffalo gals sounded, white gloves, and a love of being something different realy made things cool for a selected few. This was at blightys/pleasure drome. after that the electro sound came about (the big bang) the birth of rap/breakbeat, and i loved it. i still have found memorys sitting in my bedroom cranking out electro 1/2/3 and thinking this is new as fook:spin: ....breakdance, bodypopping soon followed for us all. my freinds were all buzzing from it, espesially mr crazy legs (mr mark disley) RESPECT!!!

that was the conception for me!! the real birth and my desire for music happened by chance............its the summer of 1990, 20 years old, half pissed, i took a stroll round the corner to see my mate, he was washing his car and asked me if i wanted to come to a party "its deffinatley kicking off tonight, he said"...................the party was revenge 3 in warrington, 1 purple haze and some time later that i cant recall clearly, my life changed forever, with tunes that live in soul forever, i was hooked:D acts of madmen/huge pulsating brain/a version of pig bag that kicked, my'o'my it was fuckin unreal....................since then i caned the clubs for 2 years. monroes/park hall/hacketts/wigan pier/angels. tryed to get to all the revenge partys up until 7, in a barn somewhere covered in shit:eek: , it went down though, so fuck the police:moonie:

the best years of my life without a shadow of a doubt!!!!

i've collected tunes since about 1992 mainly as a hobby/reminders of the past, and keep on buying them (i have loads to remmember) and i keep picking up the odd one or two!!

My respect goes out to...........Davey10 for introducing me to this site:thumbsup: and my dj'ing influences over the years..........Green bins, John J, Welly (dread mc, monroes.........tunes to move ya, defcon remix), and not forgeting Nipper..........excellent djs, that made my nights a pure pleasure to dance to.....thanks to all.......Inchigh:D

;) Hi everyone. My name is jonny and i feel like i've come home. I only found out about the site about 3-4 days ago off a new friend in one of the music forums on myspace.

Well, I started to listen to the music summer 89 when i come across a Hacienda tape and instantly took a liking to it. I was only 15 then but as the summer went on, more tapes came my way from bars in Blackburn and Burnley. I tried going to places and getting in places but didn't have much success.

I, like Inchigh learned my trade at monroes:turn: and the experience and the music from the defcon crew was amazing.. Fell in love BIG time. Spring 1990 as i was leaving school is when it really kicked off with me.. Such a refreshing change from getting pissed havin a curry! Of course one joins the chemical generation but it wasn't about that, it was the music, the people and the creativity of the DJs. :bounce2:

I've been away from the club scene for sometime and i enjoy many more different types of house, but old skool is where the heart and memories lie and i've just recently started collecting some of the rarerities again which has been fun. Got some belters as well.

Anyway nice to talk to you all and hope i haven't gone on too much. All the best and i'm sure i'll be havin the crack with a few of you soon:wave:
