Did any one see that TV programme about the youngest ever boob job, it was bad, girls I mean 11 year old girls deciding that they want a boob job at 18, waiting half their life, just so they can be seen as perfect in the eyes of this shallow shallow world...
:

I wanted a boob job when I was 13....and I thought that I really wanted one up until about the age of 17. And then I grew up. My boobs are tiny, I take a 30B bra, and with a size 10 body, that feels shitty. But I would never have been allowed to even consider getting a boob job, why? Becauese my parents wouldn't have let me, and knew that it was some fad brought about by watching too many episodes of baywatch or something.

These girls might say they want a boob job......and I believe they really do want them, but parents are your first role models, and they are the ones who should put a stop to bad body image. If these girls waited a few years like I did, they'd know that its just ridiculous.

I bet between them, they are sizes 8-12.....which for their frames and heights isn't bad at all.

ooooh amy, i wanted a boob job since i was 17 and got one, im only just a size 6 :| i had a chest that would rival 2 parcetamols on a ironing board, at 17 i obv spoke to my mum, she said no, and that they would come eventually, and that my bod was ok, yeah right. I feel I was a victim of society-lol, having mates that were so confident with thier bodies cos they had boobs...eventually my mum knew how upset i was, saw me buying stuff to put in my bra, chicken fillets n stuff-lol :$ It was getting phsycological...i didnt have lady lumps and wanted them, my mum werent a bad role model at all, eventually she told me to go for it as she knew how depressed i was about it. I havent had them done to whack em out, or show em off ive had them done for me, so i feel better in myself, sounds shallow, and yes it probably is...But hey, Ive done it now, and they look ace, No big deal. Sometimes i wish i werent so fickle...
But in hind sight amy, parents do have alot to answer for...

I don't agree, I always think they look as chunky as the next girl when I watch their concerts. Their arms are not thin, they don't have bones sticking out, and you can see the muscle in their legs which shows they are healthy girls. It's one thing that I really like about the band. I always think they promote really good body image, and when I see pictures of Kimberly in particular, I always think they are relateable. She has her wobbly bits and isn't arsed. I bet between them, they are sizes 8-12.....which for their frames and heights isn't bad at all.

Lol we must be watching different concerts as by the way they look on most of the stuff i've seen there isn't much room for opinion.

Its easy to find pics of them looking both ways.

I do think they look nice thinner though although they have definitely gone too far, especially the ginge.

Yeah but you're missing my point. Your child could see skinnier girls on the street. She can look at Keira Knightly and Nicole Richie who are far worse role models than girls aloud. The fact is, girls aloud aren't anorexic, or underweight, or looking bad. Those waist belts are designed to make you look skinny. Keira Knightleys bones stick out at award ceremonies and red carpet events.....I think its much much much worse.

anyway.....I'd like to add that lots of pop culture figures and role models are skinner and always have been. Audrey Hepburn for one. I bet everyone can appreciate her beauty, and she was a freaking rake in Breakfast at Tiffanys. We all think Marylin Monroe is a great role model for women, she was apparently a size 16. That size 16 equates to a modern day size 12. There have an always will be skinny role models, and theres nothing wrong with it until it gets to the anorexic point. When you have kids thinking Nicole Richie or Ashley Olsen is pretty, then you have a problem.

OMG...WTF...FFS...these girls are not normal Amy, these girls have been manufactured and processed to sell shite pop music and sex??? Is that what all girls are here for? Or is that what you think? Girls are purley to be looked at and admired?? I hear Lotties views shes got an impresionable little un, who thinks its right to be skinny, my point is the sex side of things little girls wanting to be sexy...its wrong as fuck. Spesh in a world of today...Little girls DO look up to these ppl, they are put in the public eye as being super fit sex godessess and being put in front of the wrong eyes day in day out, is there any wonder that there are peados, ppl dying of anorexia, animals getting killed etc etc all in the name of beauty and apperances, I reck you would be fuct if we were living in the stone ages...ugh-lol. Shallow as fook. If you think normal is being stick thin, plastered in make up, and being paraded as some shite singing sex object is normal, then im sorry, you are deluded.

with my family.......
:mad::mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
i agree that they are very bad role models for young girls ... read an interview done by them last week and they are all on diets ... wtf. to many young girls follow them because they are celebs ..
its not just them either dont even get me started on posh [ she need an all you can eat restaurant that one]...
theres nothing wrong with being a size 14 [im usually that size , and im healthy too] ...
its just endorsing the fact that you have to be thin to look good and thats far from correct
i think the celebs need to look in the mirror
"in with the curves"
my hubby always telling me how he loves my curves , " BIG IS BETTER I THINK"

yes true amy my daughter sees people of all shapes and sizes on the street but she doesnt idolise them however she does girls aloud and takes a big intrest in them as im sure thousands of other girls do , but this thread is just going round in circles , ive had my say and dont expect everyone to agree with me , so best left there ,lets agree to disagree , you have your opinions and i have mine

do u not think its a bit ironic that girls wanna be skinny as possible and lads are sticking needles full of steroids up their arses to get bigger
As for girls aloud, they're not role models, they're pop stars. As shaun ryder once said " be your own kids role model"
Faye if u wanna put some weight on, stop having a cheeky reefer b4 u go to work
