Ive looked on the net for drivers and any installation software online for her but couldnt find any matching that model or anything even remotely similar. It a good few years old, so i put it down to that. There was a disc with the scanner but i couldnt even suss what to do with it, nothing seemed to download right :S i'm a bit stumped as to what to do next...
thanks for the offer mate, appreciate that but if you canhelp i'll leave you in the capable hands of woody if thats ok , as when it comes to scanners and computers you could fit what i know on a pinhead and still have room for the Lords Prayer :| :S :$ lol, but any info help you can pass onto him.... i'm grateful, cheers!
The GT 5000 is not plug and play, you need the correct drivers, the scanner does not work in either windows nt 4 or windows 2000 epson have not written any drivers for it to work.
I'd imagine it won't work with XP either (presume you are using XP) - the link was from 2001, might be easier to bin it and buy a newer one, unless you are running Win98?

Ill try and copy and upload my installation disc to mediafire, see if that helps it automatically works out what your scanner is and gives you the correct install. Ill pm you in the next day or so Woody
