OK peeeps
i want to burn some dvd's from downloaded stuff, lost, heroes, films etc..
most of my files are in DivX, but they wont play on my dvd player, I have had lots of dvds that do work but I aint sure how or what format they should be burned in to work ????
I have got Nero 7 so if any one can help tell me what to do so I can watch them on my dvd player instead of my computer, I will be very thankful

It's so much cheaper / less hassle to get a DIVX player than arse about converting from AVI to DVD...

You can pick up a DIVX player for around 30 quid these days...

I've got a LG HDMI one - paid 90 for it about 9 months ago - sure they are loads cheaper than that now :)

I need a player that'll also play WMV...

i know just aint gotten around to gettin gone yet :$ DivX is getting pretty standard now on players as well.
tar anyway

Ive just worked out how to do this with Nero lol duuurrr:D , at least with .avi files that is. Its dead simple

If youve got Nero 7 Premium then there is a bit where you can burn your own dvd from files of a particular type, and it encodes it to a dvd format

Im halfway through series 3 of the sopranos, unfortunately it only fits 2 episodes per dvd because the size of the files are huge

Banged em in my dvd player downstairs and bingo, quality is ace as well:D

Get the beginning screen up
Choose Make Your Own DVD Video
Another wondow opens - Nero Vision - Untitled Project
Under What Would You Like To Do, select Add Video Files
Should bring up a browse window, find your .avi files
Select what you want to burn. click next
Edit the Main Screen with the DVD details, you can change the title and episode title, click Next
Check to see if the file you have added is working correctly using the remote, click next
Click Burn

I use DVD+Rs btw:)
