My best friend is flyin from Manchester 2 Jamaica for his honeymoon, at 7 in the mornin, now we're havin torrential rain down here, with some serious floodin, but how is it round there? do you know if the motorway is closed up there? We cant come the snakes pass way, it'll b washed out.

I live in the area and the roads seem fine?? My wife came travelled the M62 no problem this afternoon.

Well....not a direct answer to your question, but I heard on Galaxy that a guy has committed suicide by jumping off the Manc Way....so I think the city centre and surrounding might be hectic for a bit.......not sure if it will affect you.

The jumper won't delay you as you don't need to be anywhere near the city centre to get to the airport.

Surely the best way for you to go is via buxton, macclesfield then wilmslow? Our drivers have been up to buxton today with no problems, but i cant say how it is between chesterfield and buxton. Snake pass is going miles out of the way anyway IMO

Its well bad round here. loads of roads around town centre are closed and in leeds the river aire has burst its banks and parts of the city are under water.
