Maybe she was having a crafty listen to the talking book version of Rushdie's 'Satanic Verses' just to see what all the fuss was about. :p

As read by Joe Pasquale.

Agreed

 aren't they full of shit

Yep

ahhh don't get me started

Without sounding racist, its a fooking disgrace...How the fook am I meant to integrate with these ppl if there gonna be shielding their fooking faces...Im a ppls person me, I like to know who Im talking to, I like to meet new faces etc... I cant converse with someone who has thier face covered up :D

If they cant be arsed taking the veil off, then I cant be arsed to bother either.

You say ironic like its a bad thing, whats ironic about wanting to see the persons face when talking to them????

Yes I use a phone, to phone ppl who are say in Leeds, Wakey, London, am not gonna be getting in my car and driving the longh distance am I???? No.

Im replying back to this in a way of, ffs how picky are you? what I meant is, if Im out in a park, club, somewhere sociable Im not gonna be wanting to talk to ppl wearing a veil for worry that they are not listening to me, maybe they are too busy listening to bangra on their MP3s...or even worse :|

On a face to face level, i like to see who Im talking to, and Im sure other ppl want that too...Is that OK with you??

Im sure if I was talking to someone on the fone who is wearing a burka, Id be able to tell, there voices would be muffled :axe: unless they had a peep hole for thier mouths (but then that would start to look like a DIY gimp mask-so maybe not)

*Note to self, in future, pls make all post as clear and concise as possible to avoid picky ppl, who clearly want an argument...

Not that ironic imo... we've got the medium of text here... & smileys :p

A burkha inhibits expression, both verbal & non verbal. Surely that's beyond doubt ?

Here, Here! wearing the burka gives the person wearing it no individuality, no uniqueness, they all fall or put in the same category...No offence by this, but can you imagine an all girls muslim school and it comes to the end of year class photo....Erm....theres me...I think...:D

LONDON (AFP) - A female Muslim juror has been arrested in Britain after allegedly listening to an MP3 player under her hijab headscarf during a murder trial, police said Monday.

Genius!

I think I might convert to their religion so at work I can get a huge burka - get a nice set of comfy headphones on and listen to music at work that'd be ace.

Hey, you could get a burka big enough to hide a sink under and you could do the washing up ont sly
