Torrent Help

I've been downloading a few films and vids this week and typically the 2 that I wanted the most are being stupid.
Both are roughly 700mb and both have got to 99% and even though they still appear to be downloading neither have actually done anything for over an hour.
Can anyone tell me why this is ?

Right click on it in your torrent program and choose "Stop" then right click on it again and choose "Force Re-Check" this will force it to check all the files are complete and almost certainly makes it finish what it should have done.

Unless of course the person sharing the file hasn't uploaded 100% of it, if only 99% of it is available then you are fucked.

Cheers for replying mate. I use BitSpirit and I cannot see where it says "Force Re-Check" anywhere

Not used that prog, I use Azureus.

Have a look at any help file/info thats with the prog your using, might tell you how to re-check files in there.

Alternatively just 'Start' the file again and see if it auto-re-checks ?

I have just stopped both mate and after restarting the 1st it has now completed but the other hasn't. Gonna leave it stopped for a while and then try again.

PC is in need of a format asap so I'm gonna get shot of bitspirit and get Azureus as soon as I'm sorted

Have a look at the utorrent programme, its the biz,

Yep, uTorrent don't sloww your PC down half as much as the others do. Can't beat it imo.

Yeah Utorrent is a much better torrent client compared to most but make sure if you use it you get hold of version 1.6.1 as versions 1.7 and upwards have been banned by a lot of torrent sites because of who actually owns the Utorrent client now.....
