Have they worked previously and stopped working? If you look at the back of your computer, does the audio cables go into the motherboard? or does it have its own separate card? cheers G

if you right click the volume icon in the bottom of the sys tray next to the clock, and select adjust audio properties, then select the audio tab, and see what the pc is outputing the audio to, do you have a choice of devices?

Also right click on the volume again and select open vol control, is all the vol bars maxed out, and the balance central??

cheers :D let me know how u get on.

Could it be a setting on the mixer itself? Odd times i myself have knocked the 'split-cue' or channel switch & ended up with 1 ear monitoring then spent ages sussing the problem. Try the headphones with another source like a CD player then do a process of elimination. If it does end up as 1 sided from the PC itself check your jack plugs etc are fully pushed home.

If all that fails gimme a shout.

No worries, if any of your mates are into pc's then maybe they could check it out for ya, a quick look on microdirect shows this sound card for a PCI slot, which virtually all pc's have.

Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Series Xtreme Audio OEM - 30SB079200000 - www.microdirect.co.uk,

Good luck and all the best:wave:

Mate, pieces of kit sometimes fail, simple as that. The only way to test it is to drop a soundcard into it, and see if the problem lies on the motherboard, or in the computer settings

have you moved your pc at all?

frustrating i know, but i see it all day, every day, peoples hard drives crash out , lost docs..

When's the last time you backed up all your vital docs/photo's tunes videos etc. Its sh1t but most pc's these days only have a shelf life of 2/3 yrs. I know i'm guilty of this too, but if these pieces of data are important to you, you must think. if my hard disk died tommorow, what have I backed up on a seperate drive / disk... :|

ive managed to back up some but not all of my music files - tbh its something i do need to crack on with cus ive lost one harddrive before now!

after doing a little searching via the web it would appear my soundcard (realtec ac97 audio) is actually an on board card ? ive checked the drivers and they are up to date also :(

my whole pc came built as standerd when i bought it - the only thing ive changed is an upgrade to more ram! havnt moved anything or changed anything to my knowledge which is why im thinking maybe my onboard sound is shot at! ive had the pc for about 2 n half yrs now :( never really had any probs before now and it would be the sound that goes - which is the one thing i do most with my pc - just when i start to record my own stuff too :( Im still getting sound just not as good as i once did - bummer eh :( could hear a pin drop through these speakers once upon a time!
