Sorry to disappoint everyone but there is no way this is a Chris + James set......Alison Limerick, some crap mix of Rusty (Sasha dub all the way for us...), and NIGHTCRAWLERS!!!!

Sounds like Phil Gifford if anyone. Shocking mixing and dodgy club classics. :fekked:

I've got nearly all the C+J sets that were recorded here and will up them when I learn how......I thought it was a bit surprising that I'd never seen a Wobble tape....shame as it would have been great.

Lol, the mixing really was shocking here, I don't ever remember hearing a Dj this rough and ready....

Having said that I enjoyed this for the records, all big Brum tunes (I don't ever remember hearing them one after another like this though). Although Nightcrawlers went on to be a massive commercial success, it was big on the club scene I'd say as much as a year before that happened. I still like the cut up vocal bit, brings back good memories....

Thanks for re-upping Mich..

Chris, will look forward to you upping those mixes, any from the Gardening club, Crunch or Wobble?!

It's abit embarrasing to even have our name mentioned to this tape!!!!!

For a true feel of a C+J set try and track dwon the 94 Essential Mix done 100% live.

I've got C+J tapes / DATS from Gardening Club / Renaissance etc and will try and up

Been having a mooch on the net for it this morning, but not managed to find it yet....

I can see why you didn't want your name on that.....

I can only think the dj was spangled at the time...

i have some more wobble tapes somewhere and if i find them i will upp them, no probs...but we may start playing guess the dj again tho lol.;)

As i have said before, most of my sets are either upped straight from originals or recorded from originals and im sure that i would be able to read whether it said phil gifford or Chris and James. So it would be the fault of the club, but why on earth would they want to sell a mix that isnt the named dj on the cover???
I dont mean to sound off but why disrespect Phil Gifford if the mixing is that bad? Im sure that we have all heard djs play and thought their sets were shocking (i know i have) so it could be anyone..btw, i dont want to start an argument :)

that would be h-extremely wonderful, thankyou

and for the record, my Phil-related question was merely of curiosity, It wasnt me who mentioned him initially, I just wondered who it was if it wasnt Chris n James , i'm interested, Wobble was one of my favourite clubs
could be anyone, i'm just glad to get my mitts on some Wobble tapes, as its something I am sadly lacking

As soon as i find the other mixes i will sort them. (I know i sold a few wobble double packs last year on ebay tho.)

Hey no problem here, but you've accidentally upped a shockingly bad mix and put my name to it   not your fault though.

Clubs selling wrongly labelled tapes was a common occurrence in the 90's - but one thing is for certain I'd know whether it was myself and James djing.....I hate some of those records.

As for the Phil Gifford comment - purely based on what I used to hear at wobble.:fekked:
