Used to be terrible, always having stuff on gemm that wasn't in stock :naughty:

Now much better - got this from him

Ive double checked the condition of the vinyls and I thought that it was best to let you know now before you make the payment, that a couple of the vinyls have a couple of light surface marks on them. However i have listened to the records quickly and these marks do not affect their play. Also the xxxx and yyyyyy 12"s come in plain sleeves.. Im probably being over cautious telling you all this, but id prefer to be honest and upfront now before you make the payment, so that you are happy with your purchase. If you'd prefer to cancel the order, then please send me an email at sales@brarecords.com or through the discogs website and i will cancel it for you. Otherwise please make the payment and i will then despatch your record immediately Finally if you go ahead with the order but are not happy when you receive it, please contact me before leaving feedback so that we can resolve the problem. Im sure that this won't be neccessary though! Cheers tom

Subject: Discogs Order #191868-327, Infinite

Hi Anthony

I've just left you a voice mail message on your mobile with regards to the virtual energy - infinite track that you ordered. As i said on the phone, the vinyl has a few light surface marks on it. They are noticeable when you hold the record in certain positions in the light, which is why i must of missed them when i catalogued the record. I've listened to it and it plays ok without any skips or jumps etc, but there is a little bit of surface noise on the drops in the record on side B, but only in one section near the end.

I thought it best to let you know before sending it as i'd prefer to be honest and upfront with you so that you are happy when you receive it..

If you want to take a listen then give me a quick call on 0771xxxxxx and i'll play it to you so that you can hear it...

I'm probably being over cautious, but as i said i'd prfer to be honest before sending it..

If you'd prefer to cancel then i will of course refund you immediately...

Once again my apologies for the inconvenience, but as i said i'm probably being over cautious!!

Anyway let me know what you'd like to do

Cheers
tom
Ps if you want to go ahead then if you receive it and you are not happy then you are welcome to return it for a full refund..

i spoke to him and he seemed a good lad, was obviously working late at night too as he was changing status etc late on, so fair play. Just needs to drop his prices more now :D . But thats just me being greedy.

I don't care how good he is now, I'll never buy from him again. I paid for a stack of records off him a couple years back and never got them, although he would answer my emails from time to time to let me know that they we're going to be in the post soon  Good thing my Visa card refunded me.

Id have to agree with Rob there. Although the guy is being upfront and honest, he should really be offering some sort of discount...well thats what id do had a made a similar error in grading

when i got mine through there was fuck all wrong with it, just a couple - and i mean a couple - of standard marks which you get with any record most of the time. I thought it was good of him to at least state so, even go over the top - rather than take the gamble and just send it anyways, which you get some of the time. Can see ur points, but cant agree, as he wasnt saying it was now 'good' rather than the previous 'mint', he was just trying to show some professionalism / courtesy and didnt want a pissed off customer.

Well in that case it sounds like he was just being overcautious so fair play to the guy

Love it - the bloke is listing his records as Mint but then just sending the same email out each time!

its pretty crafty and an old sales scam, get the order by saying its better than it is then saying its not quite as good as 1st thought, its basic psychology, once the order is placed your hooked, then you are given the chance to pull out, but if you want it (which is why you bought it) you are far less likely to pull out once the initial order is placed, which is the point that a salesman wants you to be, its the same basic scam that double glazing salesman used in the 80s.
its proper underhand and crafty.

this seller used to in the early days send a record that was in real bad condition then say you could return it but only have credit.

you have the choice but you are unaware you are walking straight into a basic sales technique.

He did send me summat like that before & the record was bob on... to be honest I'm happy that

a) he had the tunes

b) they were relatively cheap

Bad Ass (2) - Enter The Dome
Hardlines - Hypnosis
Various - The Born EP
Jackmaster Dick's Revenge* - Sensuous Woman Goes Disco
