Brains on toast.

Actually that's a lie... but my Nan & Grandad ate that until a Lidls opened nearby & they've swaped up offal for cheap German imported stuff instead.

Me ? I'm quite partial to a nice junket / fool / blancmange / tapioca / semolina type pud :)

Been ages since I've had em mind... possibly not since school days...

Add to that a PROPER rice pud with a thick skin & cloves.

can't be doing with trifle meself like... cold custard *shudder* or blancmange or whatever the feck that stuff is...

old fashioned food... hmm...
well i like all the classics... mince & dumplings... shepherds pie... snake & pygmy pud... for desserts you can't beat crumbles... apple or rhubarb or plum... or goosy fool (nice and turt)

resurrected an interest in rice pud recently n'all... live in surrey now like so it's got to be one of them posh ones in the plastic containers. tins of ambrosia or that watery own brand shite don't cut it down our local sainzys. the harridans on the tills look at you like yer shite if you're not buying balsamic & tofu & fresh herbs every week. it's lovely rice pud though. the other week I stuck a dollop of jam in t'middle & stirred it in like at school  didn't improve it any mind.

snake & pygmy pud... .

Never heard of that, what is it?

I personally love trifle  Don't have it very often though, usually just around Christmas time. I do like all the old tradditional meals like stew and dumplings and steak and kidney pudding. I also love apple crumble and apple pie  My grandma used to bake them herself :D ;)

old fashioned food rocks (check the one who lived with her Nan and Grandad as a kid..) ;)
Cant beat stuff like beef stew and dumplings etc..

all fresh stuff too, was actually thinking the other day, I can hardly recall ever seeing anything made done from a packet or whatever, struggled to think of anything! well apart from bread probably but even then it was sometimes homemade

I love it round my auntie and uncles house too when I visit , he's a right "foodie" ~ makes practically everything himself, homemade sausages, bread, the lot. I think its ace . :)
