Butty, much thanks for the welcome mate, very much appreciated. Made up that I've found this site and happy to be a member of it.
My story's a simple one. Been into house music all my life but only got into DJ'ing in Nov' 2004. Brought my first system, 2 x 1210's mk2, Vestax mixer and Gemini speakers. Took to it like duck to water... or is that fish to water?? By May 2005 I was given my debut set playing at one of B'ham's biggest Bank Holiday Venues and blew them away - so much so that I was approached by the owner of Radius afterclub and asked to go play there when I'd finished. Luckily for me, all the right people were there for that set and I've had work since then, playing everywhere around Midlands, the biggest clubs in town to the coolest bars - it's fair to say I've been lucky to be accepted as early as I was and for that I'm thankful.
Inevitabley moved onto CDJ's but still love my vinyl. Got bored of playing the same old tracks as everyone and have been looking for a new sound to briing to B'ham. Recently been playing old house classics but even this is now beginning to spread and people are gagging for a change. listening to the the fellas DJ'ing on the OSA Radio station and my hat's are off to you guys and girls... tunes are outstanding... I'm just srtuggling to find sites where I can download the big, old, piano, old skool classics. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What I'm desperatley trying to find are the very late 80's/early 90's - almost 'breakdance' type of tracks, 'Rob Bass' era.
