Can anyone help me out here please?

I have a Netgear DG834G router connected to my PC. As far as I can tell, it looks like it's set up to be doing the wireless shit with 128bit WEP encryption.

How do I make the laptop connect?

Never done this before, and haven't got a clue where to start, so any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

See, that's what I thought you had to do, but fuck all is happening?! :fekked:

It's a Toshiba laptop and I've turned the wireless switch on at the front, but when I press FN+F8 to turn wireless thingy nothing happens.

u will need to set it up first in ya wirless configuration biz. sometimes u do it in the windows inbuilt one others will have a program on there for the inbuilt wifi biz on the lappy.

have a look under ya control panel see if there is owt under there. or under ya program files for some sort of wifi shiz.

you need to type in ur ip hosts ip address and DNS then put the put in the gateway address which is 192.168.0.1

example:
gateway address(ip host addy) 179.145.34.123 (fake addy)
DNS(domain name server) 90.67.45.23 (fake addy)
(a 2nd dns is req'd) 90.67.45.24 (fake addy)
gateway address(router addy) 192.168.0.1 (this is the correct addy)

try this:
No Internet Access Through the Router

good luck
