...anybody else running it?
I've been trying it for a couple of days now & gotta say i'm impressed. Nice and rapid... clean & uncluttered... each tab running as a separate process (so if/when it crashes it only affects one tab, not all open tabs)... All good stuff IMHO!

It's also nice and solid (so far at least) which considering it's only a beta makes a nice change. Microsoft's betas (for instance) are often totally unusable.

So far, for me, it literally pisses all over IE7 then fucks it's wife, mum and kid sister

I do run XP SP3 on this box though, which apparently it likes. i'm told Chrome & SP2 will sometimes have a bit of a row.

Oh, and OSA seems to work fine with it

Anyone else?

Having to copy the link to IE and play it in that for the moment..

Anyone else sussed this yet?

Weird, have tried tinkering with settings but it doesn't give you much to alter - I've got content set to load (all content) and nothing blocked anywhere.

Can't see an option for turning javascript on/off

I'm just testing this now, so thanks for the heads up:thumbsup: Where has my list of favourites gone to?

IE8 beta's out now as well and that has some new cool features too, so will have to test that at some point:)

Firefox is satan IMO

lol, what's up with it? Best browser I've used.

Although I should point out I'm still on version 2. Tried version 3 for about 10 minutes before I got totally annoyed with the "awesome search bar" or whatever it's called. Deffo not awesome, and you can't turn it off :S

used chrome for a couple of weeks and had the same 'youtube' problem as mentioned above, it used to just lock up completely
now reverted back to good 'ole firefox
will probably wait until a updated version is available and try it again

Just went direct to Adobe site and got the latest player installed, rebooted and it works fine.

Now can't fault it, simplistic and does just what you need

if you like the look of chrome but like the functionality of FF (and plugins etc) then you'll be please to know theres a theme and addon you can use to make FF look exactly like chrome:

Google Chrome: Turn Firefox into a Google Chrome Clone

You can also get some addons which will enable some of the 'killer' features of chrome, one being tabs running as seperate processes.

Been using FF3, chrome and IE8 for a few weeks now, still cant decide but FF is pulling away through the sheer speed that addons are developed which copy the functionality in the others - although not seen anything that tries to copy MS's accelerators yet?

Yeah, accelerators are nifty.
Considering Chrome is still only at the Beta stage though it clearly whups the arse of both IE & Firefox (let's not mention nutscrape) which must both now be considered mature products.

Firefox was awful for a long time, and took ages to get to anything like a stable state, and IE, let's face it, is a joke.

Chrome's not the finished article yet, and it'll be interesting to see how the advertising scheme goes down with punters, but so far it's the best out of the box new browser I've ever seen by a distance.

yeah I do like chrome mate, and with it being Beta am very openminded about it.

One problem, about 75% of all google products are still in Beta! They seem to have reinvented the term to mean 'we're not 100% happy with it yet and probably never will be' :|

You can bet yer ass though that it'll be optmised for all google web apps, and with more turning to this kind of functionality they may well be onto something - that said one of the big things was the redesigned java VM, but the new FF java VM is neck and neck in the tests.

We'll see I suppose, time will tell and if google are anything like they've been in the past they'll have a killer app just waiting for this.

(oh and IE8 runs tabs as seperate processes, and isnt going anywhere when you consider the ammount of corporate use and lazy users - the best thing about all this competition - the IE team take their job seriously and move towards standards and added features)
