I use ableton live, does everything from DJ'ing right upto pro music creation, you can use VST plugins and theres tons of Midi surfaces out there made with it in mind. plus you can stick with it if you want to get really creative :)

Spend a day or 2 going through the tuts included and then your off, I was up and running in a couple of days phones:

Obviously I'm not saying go out and buy a copy for £££ if your just gonna play about, PM me mate :thumbsup:

dont know if this stuff is overkill for you. but for basic dj mixing . i allways liked the range of pcdj stuff and actually ableton live is good for mashups.ableton is a bit mad to get yer head round at first. but pcdj is basic. just like a set of virtual cd mixers
i found the beat matching was cool on it . it scanned the file and got the bmp..

depends if u want that dj style of mixing or programming with a seqencer.

theres so bloody much out there.. the mind boggles...

Ive got ableton live, soundforge, cubase, reason n cakewalk on my PC -wana know which best start with for remixin. Not looking to dj with it - stick to my decks for that ;)

Hi mate.....i started using mixmeister fusion....its great for us novices...

its got easy tutorials to learn from and loads of plug ins and effects
