over there
I was in town today and found somebodies prescription. It was for a 65 year old man, had the surgery adress plus his home adress on.

After the split second I pondered what delights it could be for my own personal use:p I did the decent thing and delivered it to his home adress in the works van.

This was around 12pm, I knocked on the door but there was no answer so I just posted it through his letter box with an enormous feeling of self satisfaction:D

Then I started to wonder what ilness the guy might have and had visions of him still wandering the streets of Blackburn retracing his steps for the missing prescription to no avail, only to give up and get home to find it on his doormat.

I then began to think I may have jangled the poor bastards brain thinking he was going senile and had he already been home and was losing the plot???:S

Within a shot the overwhelming feeling of good I had just experienced vanished as quick as it came, still its the though the counts eh;)

Nice one Chris:thumbsup:

I drove the bosses dad's car today and didn't throttle it, although I did throttle the works van, so guess that balanced everything out in the longrun;)

I could have throttled the idiot who infected half our computers at work with a virus... For the second time in a week and after being told.

Is that the worm that's just switched itself on and probably infected millions of computers recently, adam?

Seems amazing that any office doesn't have decent anti virus software on it's comps these days with all the nasties about online:crazy:

I found a wallet last year when I had been made redundant. My initial thought was ooh thats £60 for me, but having looked through it, I started to feel really guilty about it and found a builders guild i.d card or something and a phone number, so I called the number - It was the blokes boss - and managed to get the lads phone number.

When I rang, he was elated that I had found his wallet and I gave him my address so he could pick it up. When he came round he was actually in tears of joy, because it was his last £60 for 3 weeks or so, he was going through a messy divorce, was skint and would have had to replace all his id at £160 before he could work again.

Made my day to see how happy he was. Much more than the £60 would have although it was needed at the time. He offered me £20 but I turned it down.

I often put other people first in this way.

good on you chris and brock  i bet you both feel great for doing the right thing.

im a great beliver in what goes around comes around.

years ago when i was around 13, i lost my wallet at the pleasure beach in morecambe (yep back in the days of £3 bands :D ) it had what little was left of my money, my train ticket home, and a station locker key which had our coats in and mine and my m8s pressis we had both bought our mums  , anyway we found an info booth or whatever and sure enough it had been handed in :D lost it on the speedway :S and from that day on whenever i found anything ive always handed it in. more recently i lost my wallet full of cash at a festival, and that got handed in too with all its money there  in fact i can't recall ever loosing something which hasn't been handed in, lost my phone a few times too and always got it back.

the most ive ever found was about £300 in a money bag i saw someone drop, one morning walking to work, and did the right thing, turned out it was someone i kinda knew from school, and it had been the day before shop takings, he was delighted, which kept me buzzing for days :D so i say do as mr redhead kingpin would do, you always feel much better for it.
