Rising blue... good choice... would have been my first choice colour no doubt.

What does it go like or are you still running it in (oo-err)?

Still loving those rims... Don't suppose you know the fitment?

Dunno if it's camera-related oddness, or the curvature of the earth or summat, but it looks a tad high at the front... or was Lottie hiding in the boot?

Get some decent polish on it and on a sunny day the paint will set off lovely. Dunno if risding blue is a pearl finish, but the VW pearl metallic colours always look the absolute bollocks when the light catches them.

Stuck a couple of pics of mine on the dubbers thread recently after it's bi-annual "proper" wash, which will show ya what I mean.

Lovely car mate

Wotcha Chris... I was restrained for the 1st 100 miles :$ I've not redlined it yet but give it some up to 5k & it loved it :D

I've now got 1300 miles on it & it's starting to feel looser :D

Gonna get 3k on the clock & then go for a Bluefin remap (255 bhp / 280 lb/foot :D).

Yeah the angles are weird... on you look at it front on it sits low at the front & high on the rear haunches... it's still far too high on it's springs for my liking but apparently it's summat to do with the ACC (I only leave mine in Sport anyway lol)

It pulls harder than the V6 & feels very fizzy even in 6th :jumpin:

The only bad thing is the brakes... when you dab they are fierce... however (& it's a big however) when I've had to slam on at motorway speed to a dead stop it sometimes feels I won't make it before rear-ending the car in front & have to press right on through to the bottom brake bite... bit hairy & I don't like it... may have to invest in bigger / more progressive brakes if they continue to behave like that after bedding in...

Aye bluefin is a good way to go [Y] just as long as you can reset it if "the man" ever starts poking about ;)

Not at all surprised it pulls harder than the Peugeot... that'll be the forced induction then

Can you not tweak the ABS through all the computery cleverness to sort the brakes out? Might also just be because it rides softer than yer old car too of course. I guess once it's remapped you'll definitely need to look at the brakes, but I reckon you'll be fine just with braided hoses & uprated pads.

Bigger calipers sounds like a bit much for a company car (unless they're paying, of course!) However Gallardo or Porsche calipers are just a bolt on mod so I hear :$

Glad it's finally turned up, anyway!

EDIT oh and is the clutch high?

Tyres are 235/40 R18

Deffo Bluefin so I can hot swap maps back to stock if required ;)

The clutch feels sooooooo light after the 306 one (& that was a hydraulic clutch from a 406 coupe)... feels weird driving the 306 again.... the 'roc clutch isn't really high or noticeably high... gonna test it tonight to see how high I lift before I get the bite...

The forced induction is sweeeeeeeeet :D Turbo comes in from 1.5k - only down side is that it's too easy to get right footed in town & you have to haul on....

Also it could be that the 306 with the V6 up front was much heavier but I've noticed in the 306 I didn't have to brake; I'd simply come off the throttle & the car would slow down naturally... & I'd got used to slip-streaming the car ie knowing how far behind a car I could go before coming off the throttle to settle in with space between me & the car in front. With the Roc I'm having to dab the brakes (a habit I hate in others) to slow myself down as there's more momentum to the car... dunno if that makes sense lol Guess it's just getting used to different characteristics....

Makes total sense. N/A cars need a bit of backpressure through the exhaust which also helps the engine braking effect when you come off the throttle. Turbo'd cars want as little backpressure as possible, so less engine braking effect. Also, although it's a small effect, if it's on-boost then there's a turbo lag when you come off the throttle as well as when you put it on. Noticeable in yours because it doesn't run a dump valve (which is where unwanted boost pressure would normally be released). Also that V6 in the old car would be a bit of a boat anchor ;) You will have to adjust your driving style a bit I'm sure, but once you get used to it it's hard to go back to a n/a car.

Glad you're liking it tho fella, I can tell you I'm more than a little bit jealous!
