Recently got back into this sub genre in a big way, it had been my main interest since the early 9ts, but Ive not bought anything new since about 04

can anyone reconmend any recent tracks, this less booming the better, or even things from way back I may not of come across the first time round, i'm talkin Soulfuric, shelter- the humpries kinda sound, cheers, geese

Hmm I put a CD together a few years ago. I've Just been flicking through it to remember the tracklist. Forgot some of em. :p

It was done just before a trip to Ibiza so it starts a bit commerical then goes into balearic and funky house tunes, so not quite you're after.

And, having been force fed some of these from the man himself I can confirm that there are some blinding quality tunes in that lot and well worth searching for......although good luck with some of them - if you are a vinyl head some of these are getting mighty hard to find on plastic and many of the newer tunes of this style are digital only releases. Sad as this is the only style that`s doing anything for me at the moment and getting harder to find in the plethora of shite that is presently around.

Great thread, will have a listen to these. Big fan of Ferrer, Faber, Cutler, Grant Nelson, some Ian Pooley stuff is worth tracking down too and that Fish go deep is a beauty. A few of the vocal tunes on Ben Watt's buzzin fly label are great as well, check out Vol 1 and 2 and the two Lazy Dog CD's.

Is that THE Kenny 'Gotta get the best of you' Thomas? A Mr Smith's classic from the early 90's! Great voice.

Yep tell me about it, russ marland said the same thing barry, and if you look a bit further back were talking of 500 pressed, I just payed 40 quid for the joi cardwell- let it go, thats big on the northern scene, only came out in 20001 as well.

Easy really just look for any Paul Trouble Anderson tracklists n buy em all...superb DJ for me although I know he was around he took over were Graeme Park left off...let me know if you want some of his old Kiss radio shows....

yep love this guy, saw himplay at HQ in camden, 96? when gusto had just come out, love some old kiss shows cheers.
