When you stipulate "Dress Code: No tracksuits" what type of clientele are you envisaging attending ?

Who the fuck wears tracksuits these days ? Or indeed ever ?

We never have never had a dress code, there are other much more effective ways of ensuring a friendly crowd.

saw a Wigan Pier CD in a shop the other day, and think its also been on advertised on tv too, it was all that bounce / donk / whatever they call it shite, and thought to myself ...bet the people who used to go were spinning in their grave (or seat as theyre probably still very much alive of course...) It was a total lottery getting into Wobble each week - there would always be one person in your group that got the knockback from the dreaded door whore...

These days it tends to be 'no caps or hooded tops' rather than 'no tracksuits' as the common door policy, but it still means the same thing. It's a way of turning away folk without actually coming out and saying 'we don't want your sort in here'. I'm with AWA - dress codes should not be necessary and I for one don't go to places that have them any more.

and the queues sometimes!! had its advantages though, you usually made loads of new friends by the time you got in
