yeah digweed was at the rhumba last week, and orbital are starring at the next one. I would find it hard to believe that the ice factory has closed. It must make a ton of cash?

You been out in Perth in recent years? Its terrible.
For the size of the Ice Factory it must have been loosing a lot money, particularly since that other place opened.
One minute they said they were changing their music policy to keep the 'druggies' away, next they were trying to win them back with happy hardcore nights, Fergie etc.
In its day back in the mid 90s it was a good venue, but its long since gone way downhill.

Aye, its done. Was busyish sometimes on a Sat but that was it. They say they will keep it open for promoters and some big nights but that is a mistake. You only need to look at Nation in Liverpool for that. Place was a shitehole last time I went after being one of the best venues in the country during the Cream years.

Dunno SOS, not sure. Used to Love orbital, especially Impact, the earth is Burning, but there's too many to mention.
Seanie - aye you're right, I've not been out in Perth for Years bro, been in Edinburgh since 94, and last time I went to the Rhumba was 1997. It's never been the same since the early ninties. 92/93 best ever years for music.

Im not sure how there going to run the place only having it open occassionally to promoters.
As you say Sean, it will potentially get even more run down. Theres also the issues of keeping the bars stocked and ticking over.
Plus it'll be lucky if its in use once a month. How long before it gets turned into flats?
