I liked his mix from Off Shore - Can't take the power remix into Dj D Lite - Just Groovin.

works really well the way he scratches in the vocal....simple but nice, and he battered that mix!

I always used to laugh about how bad Stu Allans mixing was but his cut mix of JK "feel good" into Dream Frequency "Take me to the top" is awesome

Love Nippers mix of Landlord "I like it" (Blow Out Dub) & Jillian Mendez "Don't Know What You're Missin' (Sin Club Dub) on the Hacienda tape pack

Them two really mix perfectly over each other and the BPM is the same so no messing about beat matching lol

I nearly typed 'Sasha' above but decided to expand it ;)

Sasha had some trademark special mixes that he used time n again...

My favourite is possibly Psychotropic - Hypnosis into Robin Wants Revenge when RWR goes brrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup & then Hypnosis kicks in

What's yours ?

top mix, was there at his house when that mix was created, as a little extra note used to turn with back to the mixer and push the cross fader across as the brrrrrruuuuuuuppppppppp kicked

That's great info & background there Tony cheers

Tell yer what is mad... the DJ's I absolutely revered back then (& still do) were only a few years older than me... Sasha was early 20's when doing the Shelley's & Eclipse gigs... but he was treated like a legend lol.

Same applies for the music creators too... read somewhere that the lad behind Hibrid - Twisted Tambourine was only 15 when he wrote it...

I'm 39 this year & haven't done ANYTHING that comes close to stamping my mark on the world that these boys did half my lifetime ago !

On that note I'm off to slit my wrists lol ;)

He was 12 and took 10 mins to record "Altered State"
Ron Trent - The Afterlife at Discogs
