Hi I'm 33 yrs old and deffo a product of 1990-1994 electronic dance music (especially breakbeat hardcore, acid, Belgian (XL Second Chapter) type stuff and hard german stuff (ok I basically mean Hardfloor and D-Jax there 
)). I make tracks in Ableton Live, Reason and Record which although not all are actually 'hardcore' there is almost always elements of Old Skool or samples in them.
The first dance 12" I ever bought was CubicOlympic808State - I was actually trying to get Cubic 22 - Night In Motion haha - I got that the next week though
