hello all, im a blackburn lad in my late 30's, i was part of the warehouse scene of 1988 - 90. and i came here after a mate recommended it for getting old mixes, i never expected to hear the kind of stuff i was listening to back in the days ever again, so a sincere thanks to all who have shared music here.
I was geting sick and tired of asking for old school house and being given $hit like bomb da bass of s-express, at last im reunited with proper tunes, music that meant the world to me 20 years ago

My top 5 favourite anthems back in the day would be....

Orange lemon - dreams of santa anna
Babyford - children of the revolution (b side)
Kid n play - 2 hype
Royal house - A better way (89 club version)
Frankie Knuckles - your love

Oh and white burgers, closely followed by New yorkers

thanks chaps, i live near manchester nowadays but i still get over to b;burn now and then (certainly not for the so-called night life though im afraid) just a few days ago i was driving past the clog and billycock and there was tony cannon power waliking down the road dressed up like a marathon man, havent seen the guy for about 15 years, that night i came here in search of old mixes and up pop a few of DJ tony's old mixes.
Good to see some b'burners here, any sett end regulars?
Are there any mixes from any of the b'burn parties from 88-89 on the file shares, or maybe a mix featuring 'lack of love' (artist esapes me)? you know the one.

Yes the Sett end was my first real club experience sneaking in with the older lads, i was still a mere 16 years old around feb-march 89' making my debut. I still recall seeing the sweat dripping from the windows which were vibrating to the sound urban allstars "it began in Africa" (remember that forgotton gem anybody?) Life changing moment.
