You can't beat drug music

Drug music & spiritual music (gospel / soul / blues) is where it's at... & drug music combined with spiritual music is perfection

Trance and acid (goa stuff not the cheesy trance) with amphetamines - hand in hand.

I read so many times that the chicago producers hated that acid house was 'tainted' with the acid/LSD connections and referred to 'acid burn' a term for copying ideas/stealing samples which was plain bullshit - no idea why they were so against it with the likes of Hardy/Levan spiking bowls of punch and injecting LSD into fruit that was passed around so everyone would be on the same trip at the same time :D

seconded Jammer. I never liked psy-trance (after hearing terrible stuff years ago in some random rave)...

I like to go back to things that ive previously discounted (olives were one of them, i can't get enough now)

but check this li'l beaut out...i'd LOVE to have some mega mandy and hear this ded loud in a club (play this loud thru ur headfones...it's class

YouTube - Sun Control Species & Behind Blue Eyes - Second Sunrise it keeps it's momentum up right ill the end (coming up like a bastard!hahaha) x

or this for a slighty more mellow vibe...YouTube - Behind Blue Eyes And Sun Control Species - Portrait Of A Heartbeat

Isn't all dance music engineered for drugs by the very nature of it??? I think so. x

I meant excluding dance music...

I love the way that dance music soundscapes are specifically created to work on & with & to accentuate & enhance sensations given by chemicals :D Music playing your body is ace :D

And I love the way that your body & mind remembers this when listening back to a tune even straight so you get a second wind at it :D

Was listening to the gnarly sounds in these earlier it just reminded of the teeth gritting gurningness you get on a dead good little un :D

Same applies to this wobbly organ sound

wen i was bang into my acid techno. the sweeping synths, drum rolls, driving kick drums hard funky rhythms, big acidic breakdowns etc etc on a big fuckoff sound system deffo went hand in hand with the mitzibishies that were doing the rounds at the time... i know u can say that about most house and techno, but that acid techno scene wasnt about being cool or intelligent or inventive it was just about getting fucked:wave: (tbh u could say that about happy hardcore, so just disregard wat ive just said:$ )

Yes and no thinking about it. Beats produce trance or altered consciousness naturally. I think they probably have since time began.

Someone somewhere discovered a mushroom or a plant heightened or deepened that experience. Or maybe the drugs came first, who knows!

maybe two -three times under heavy doses of LSD i experienced what id describe as a trance like state, causing amazing hallucinations, on each occasion it was induced by deep acid house music and each time i found it too scary and kind of pulled out of the trance, which felt literally like my mind was 'leaving', the instant fear being that i wasnt ever coming back again... very difficult to describe
