 ASTORIA WAS SIMPLY AMAZING:cry:

Huge system, dancing on the tables, in the isles and very rarely at ground floor level. Always an amazing atmosphere even when a freind and I had a knife pulled on us, we pointed and laughed at the guy....he legged it with nothing.

Last time I went there early 92 was a bit mad. Went to Astoria 10pm to 6am, Breakfast Club in basement 6am to 2pm and then went to Spats on Oxford street 2pm to 10pm.........yes I hurt for the next week.

To see the site now is sad, building demolished etc etc, another amazing club full of great memories for 1000's of people gone.:(

If you mean Astoria around 1990-91, then I used to go there every week pretty much.

My mate was one of the dancers (robotics). I remember going to the toilet and an oldish women came in to fill up a bottle of water for her son who was djing. I think the guys name was DJ Killer. He was under 16 so had to have a parent with him.

I also seem to remember that when the tabloids did an exposé of acid house music, that the photos of E’d up ravers on the front page were of that night as well.
