How bad is this man. Its just pure hatred, they're on about getting it sorted. It will never get sorted its been happening for centuries.

I used to go most home games in the 90s, the rivalry is out of this world!! Pretty unpleasant at times and not like Amy I have ever witnessed in the premises, you used to get kids spitting at you if you were in the wrong colours and it got so bad that a grown man killed a kid by cutting his throat for being a Celtic fan. Proper hardcore :/

EEEEEAAAAASSSSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, The truth is it's all a lot of shit Bootleg, you right about it's been going on for centuries but what happened last week was nothing, as usual people are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, there was 30 odd arrests last week, how many people have been arrested at games down south? i have watched riot's at game from down your end and thats not me having a go at anybody, its a fact and we dont here about politicans getting involved and demanding a summit down in England....

Some facts from last week...

Celtic had 3 players booked and our manager had a confrontation with the opposing manager..

Rangers had 10/11 yellow cards and 3 players sent off and the manager thing..

So who was the guilty party at last weeks game??? yet all we hear is old firm shame, get a fucking grip, not one bit of praise for the Celtic players keeping thier composure and not losing the plot...

Only in Scotland can you get this type of religious propaganda, it's total bullshit, Scotland is predominantly protestant, and because religious intolerance is a way of life here we are being portrayed as being guilty, not true, look at Manchester and Spain when Rangers travelled there, we've had SFA presidents and the head of the referee's removed from their job on account of their religious belief's (Jim Farry and Hue Dallas), in Scotland there was over 1100 orange walks last year (and that does not include when bands are out in their own town) i beleive there was under 150 Catholic walks, dont get me wrong i would ban them all, bunch of knuckle dragging half wits but thats life in Scotland, Celtic have won awards from Europe for our behaviour, and yes there are arsehole's who follow Celtic but every club has that...

As for the managers confronting each other, it happens at loads of games, it's a part of the game that shouldn't happen but for fucks sake, the truth is Celtic have complaned this year because we HAVE been getting shafted by referee's, and as a result of our complaints there is more scrutiny on decisions being made, and Rangers are not getting it all their own way, its a fairer playing ground now and long may it continue..........M

What I put Martin was just my experience from going to parkhead in the 90s loved every minute of it, in the jungle at most home games.
I agree with everything you've put mate :)

I wasn't directing any of what i said at anybody Milenko/Bootleg, just pointing out some facts from last week and some views of my own,  the old firm is all about passion and hatred, there are some horrific things that happen as a result of this game, they say domestic abuse can treble after a old firm game but do you really believe that if there was no old firm then those animals that beat their partner wouldn't do it......

The Jungle, it didn't get any better than that, imagine being a player running out to that view every 2nd week, and Rangers fans will feel the same about Ibrox, and rightly so......M

The media hyped last week beyond belief and all this talk of banning Old Firm Games and playing them behnd closed doors. Yeah fucking right sure Strathclydes finest would be out of jobs and no telling how much money Glasgow City would lose.

Each and every Old Firm game has its fair share of controversay no matter where it played at and thats what makes em so special. Sure you get the odd utter bawbag nutcase who takes things well out of line and injures somebody or worse. But most these wankers that get involved in the religous/bigotry/hatred have no idea what they talking about, they are just knuckledraggers looking to start trouble no matter what they are doing.

I have been a season ticket holder at Ibrox and now the stadium is like a graveyard at times because songs are banned, now i dont agree with the whole bigotry thing but jesus they only songs. Most the Celtic fans are not even bothered by the whole thing either I should imagine, but having your rivals banned from singing certain songs because of you I see the attraction its all about point scoring. Now having almost the entire capacity of ibrox singing "Your only sheep shagging bastards" at the Aberdeen fans in the corner is always most amusing and should never be banned haha

I do agree with Martin that the whole deal is being blown out of proportion, but to blame 1 half of the Old Firm is not right. These games are always flipped on their head depending on the importance of the game and the scoreline. Take Rangers winning the title at Parkhead back in 1999 for example due to the antics of fans at that game we will NEVER AGAIN see a title deciding match between the Old Firmers :(

Yeah Stetheboro, wouldn't be surprised if in the next game, the, final, you, see Celtic losing it, that's the nature of the beast at these games, 1 of the most idiotic moronic acts i have seen at Parkhead was the Celtic fan who was pretending to be a plane crashing into the Twin Tower's when C Reina was taking a corner at the first Old Firm game after 9/11, What can you do with that mentality   ...............M

Strathclyde Police don't just police football matches, FFS! They get their time wasted rather effectively by kids drinking & causing trouble, domestic violence & general dick headery. & Before you try to cut me down in flames..... I used to work for Strathclyde Police.

emmabell22, If you worked for Strathclyde Police then you will know how totally preposterous this idea of playing old firm games behind closed doors is, the fans would just watch the game in the pub, getting pissed out their skull and spilling out onto the street causing even more trouble, I appreciate you views but do disagree with you, the problem is that the police don't deal with the issues, here are some examples of what i am talking about, in my town, which is an ex mining town (population bout 30,000) , there have been at least 30 attempted murders over the past 20 years and only 1 person has been convicted and sent to jail, my brother was attacked in his own house, stabbed and beaten with hammers and baseball bats and when the police appeared the didn't check for any DNA evidence, they went out into the street and started checking parked cars for out of date tax disc's, in the past year there has been 2 murders in my town, both victims were young, 1 being a young girl stabbed by 2 guys and a girl, now i am not blaming the police for all this but they should be dealing with crimes instead of calling for football matches to be played behind closed doors, another good example of how incompetent the whole legal system is is knife crime, the statistic 's are shocking, i know people who have been caught with knife's out in the street and given a warning, I do respect your view emmabell22, its just that mine are different....... I actually agree with what U said. My point was that "Without Old Firm games, they'd have no jobs." Utter bollox. If U read what I said you'd realise.

Emz.

Emz, i did read your post, i just put your point a different way, the point is the police should be dealing with crime and not trying to ban football matches, this whole thing with the police reminds me of when i was younger and would watch Police camera action (sad) , you would get the cops stopping some kid in a car for speeding, and allmost allways the cop would say "Dont you think i've got better things to do with my time" NO!!! your a cop, that is your job, you're not Columbo, catch people breaking the law and do them, how many banned songs get chanted at the old firm grounds, if you want to tackle this then apply the law, that's what pisses me of Emz, its all lip service, Police and MPs trying to sound tough but there's no substance to go with their words :fekked: :fekked: but lets not argue the point Emz, eat, drink and be merry.........M
