That's the Sean Quinn Vs. Luke Chable breaks mix of Wubble U - Petal

I've been looking for that tune FOREVER

I think it was CDR only... same for Blake Potter - Timelock which is on the same mix...

It's crazy how great tunes sometimes never get releases... I would willingly pay good money for 'em too phones:

And at the end of the day that is what it is all about, not moany old twats whinging on internet forums.

At the end of the day our scene has always been, and always will be, based on repetitive beats. I have more respect for guys like JZ, Digweed and Richie Hawtin getting a place on fire with the music they play, and the way they play it, than someone playing the same old hands in the air piano tunes.

This site is getting more like those Grumpy Old men programs everyday.

I think its wicked to see a bit of creativity in a set, and Zabeila has it all going on, ok he can get a little self indulgent, don't we all now and again.

I actually just think its nice to see someone absolutely loving what they're doing and putting on a show

On the mo-fo'in 1's and 2's
lmao

watch at 2 mins in the 2 guys behind him in shades, the one on the left says "James has got an arse like a swimwear model" and his mate replies, "yeah, i'd deffinitely tap that"

on a serious note...... he's got some serious skills with the equipment but i'd still rather listen to Kissy Sell Out for new electronic based stuff, his little edits and remixes he drops in his set are wicked :D

Has he though, really? Or is it just a lot of fannying about that doesn't really add anything? I'd rather he just mixed tunesand I'd be rather annoyed if he dicked about for 5 mins over something I'd produced instead of just playing it how it was made.

My tuppence worth anyway :)

In my opinion... too much focus on the 'superstar DJ' and not enough on the tunes. I wonder what someone like Larry Levan would make of him..?

Exactly- all he is doing is pushing/programming the transform effect on a midi-controller & does it in time with the music.
3. Mastering The Scene - James Zabiela - DJdownload.com presents How to DJ
Admittedly, it is quite a catchy sound (the effect, not the tune per se)and I'm glad he appears to enjoy what he does, but it adds nothing to what has already been done time & time again for the last 20 years (& longer), in fact, sampling a scratch pattern & then replaying it as a digital scratch- inventive or rolling back years of turntablist' progression ?

See even stuff like that irritates me. Fine in a mixing championship, but not when I'm in a club. Just play the tune and stop arsing about! When you're expecting something to kick in and it doesn't coz the DJ is too busy wanking off with his loops and effects, it's just annoying!:cops:
