What a load of tosh in my opinion

Whats your thoughts?

Probably costing a small fortune to do it

The reason??- "You need to take part so that services in your area like Schools, Hospitals, Housing, roads and emergency services can be planned for the future"

Planned for the future - Ha ha - all any goverment does it cut public services back

It was a bit intrusive but we all love facts.

I doubt the illegal immigrants will be filling it in though, so it's not going to be accurate anyway

On Cloud 9!!!
Really pisses me off that i will be fined if i dont answer personal questions about my household! Grrrrr

I mean what the hell do they have to know how many bedrooms my home has or how my radiators run - really begrudge having to do it!

Why hasn't everyone just filled it full of made up bollocks?

Seeing people put jobs like failed suicide bomber or professional puddle jumper would have been ace.

Unfortunately, my missus wouldn't let me fill ours in otherwise I would have done.

Never filled mine out, bollocks to all that government tracking shite. If they want to know about my life they can check my Facebook and I have pics of my house so they can work it out themselves :)

Even so it was required who was living in your house on the date of the 27th March, what if i was in a hotel that day?

Movin' on up.
No strong opinions about it. I never found any of the questions remotely intrusive.

They do play a useful part in planning future social policy, energy plans etc.

The old census data from the 1800's is pretty interesting when looking back for family history.

Took ten minutes to fill in.

The only bit i disagree with is to shape social policy- we are cutting back everywhere you look - no school places close to home- closing maternity wards and A&E at hospitals- the census will change nothing when it comes to money

We may have no cash to build anything, but if we did the census do provide a useful snapshot and when compared to previous census data will show trends.

The cuts are all short term and you are right that the census will not change that!!!
