Did anyone watch Strangeways on ITV1 last night? That David Charlton was a proper freak, Ive laughing to myself all day about him. The guy although physically and mentally sound couldn't be arsed to do anything for himself. He had to be moved around in a wheelchair and just laid there while he pissed and shit himself. I feel sorry for the screws that have to deal with him.

over there
I thought to myself last night how disgusting, but I reckoned I could beat him so I followed his pattern in bed and went one further by cementing the dirty protest with a jizzy bed sheet followed by a crescendo of barfy pillow, David Charlton? Ive shit him :)

I used to think that the film 'Scum' was bleak. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen & on ITV !!!

'Not all prisoners want to take advantage of Strangeways' positive elements', cue immediately to 'watch my fuckin' feet' .

Best bit of last night-
'If I had to choose between training & drugs, I'd pick training everytime. Actually, I dunno, I like drugs as well'.

Having seen Louis Theroux in an American prison on Sun night, Strangeways is much more civilised.

It's not so cut and dried Wayne, i know personally 3 people who got sent down while innocent and another a victim of circumstance, lieing witnesses and a million to one terrible luck.. that 4th one could happen to any one of us who drive a car, the guy was the most law abiding all round nice guys ive ever had the fortune to meet, and NEVER drove like his hair was on fire.

One of the innocents was my nephew, no angle, granted, but.. A pub fight broke out around him, he stayed out of it but got lifted in a group arrest. Someone got hurt quite badly so an example was to be made. All the fighters plead guilty, and got wrist slaps or a few week inside. My nephew pleaded his innocence, because he was, even though his council told him to plead guilty.. and yep.. 6 months inside. First offence.

The other Nephew a few of you have met, beat up a burglar who was in his house, after telling the burglar 3 times to get out, Slave T got a load of abuse and threats back, so he hit the burglar, the burglar broke a pepper mill around slave T's head so T kicked the shit out of him.
ABH, 12 months. Maybe not quite innocent, but come on, he was protecting his house, mrs and kids and asked the guy to leave.

One of the others, a lad i grew up with, , dead now indirectly because of going to jail, no angel, fights etc.. but I KNOW he didnt do what he was accused of.
Rape.
The girl in question's husband was once a so called mate, who was skint and started to dream up get rich quick schemes. He is bigger then ME, and i aint small.. My mate was built like Butty.
My mate "beat up then tied up" the husband then did the deed.
There is a lot of stuff went on that i know, and that aint getting put on here, but the upshot is i know 1000% he didnt do it.

After this he'd get arrested and banged up for the slightest thing. He was marked (im shaking me head at the memory here)
He asked a lad outside a chippy for a chip - the lad was an old school mate.. a copper saw him and he got arrested and jailed for Kidnap!!!!!! Yeah really.
This stretch really fucked his head up.
Before jail he was the most anti drugs person i knew. After that he came out he was addicted to anything that could be injected.
He was walking while off his tits on wizz a couple of year ago, when he got gripped by police and thrown in to police van and died. Bruises & grazes on his knees and his lower back / neck at the inquest were unexplained.
The toxicology report came back no trace of drugs in his system. Yeah. Fucking right. he'd rattle if he went more then a few hour without something.

It pays to remember, There but for the grace of god go I

If i got sent down for protecting my family its someting i would have to live with - the law in the UK should be the same as the USA- your protecting your home- they are the tresspasser and deserve all they get

Whether i could then do the stretch i got is a totally different question !

There will always i suppose be misscarriges of justice i suppose its the price we pay for instilling law

I agree Wayne, The car accident, and the protecting your property are just badly policed (?) laws imho, and that really could happen to anyone of us-

But to be punished extra, for protesting your innocence if found guilty is just terrible, the state want you to plead guilty purely to save time and court costs, so god help you if you really didnt do it and for whatever reason the evidence is stacked against you. That was a harsh lesson learned.
To me the jail term, fine or punishment should be the same regardless, there should be no "reward" for admitting guilt .

My mate who died was just a tragedy from start to finish. As i say it isnt in any way the full story, but he wasn't born a bad 'un, it just crept up on him after a terrible mistake of justice
