Anyone seen this, reviews are mixed with IMDB giving it average 3.6 out of 10 altohugh all the comments are from misty eyed ravers who give it 8,9 or 10 stars.

Looks interesting and Terry Farley has hand picked the score, probably worth watching for this alone Im told

1990. The rave scene has arrived from Ibiza and warehouse parties are exploding across the UK. In Manchester, best mates Matt and Dylan have embraced the culture with open-arms, but they have dreams of being more than just punters.

As the government moves to outlaw the scene, it's now or never and they quickly rise through the ranks to join the promoting elite. They are taken on a wild journey from the exclusive VIP rooms of London clubs to the outrageous parties in Ibiza super-villas and the hedonism of Amsterdam. It's everything they dreamed of and more.

But as their success continues to grow, they find themselves caught up in a darker and far more sinister world. Matt and… more » Dylan start to drift apart as they are forced to question the dreams they set out to achieve and their once solid friendship

anyone seen it????

As for the soundtrack it's just the track's off CD one that feature in the movie,it's worth a download, but I wouldn't buy the DVD

Watched it the other night and was expecting it to be a lot better. Great idea for a film tho, I found it a bit cheesy tbh. Having said that some parts were enjoyable. I may watch it again , sometimes you watch films a second time and it seems better, just watched bonded by blood a second time and that seemed loads better this time around.

Badly cast, they got the music wrong, the clothes wrong and none of it was believable enough, the violent scenes weren't gutsy where they needed to be and the overall feel was that it was made by people who weren't there back in the day.

Soundtrack was poor too with the exception of a handful of tracks.

3/10 and that is being generous.

Thankfully didn't buy it, else I'd have been gutted

This Is England'90 <<<<<< fingers crossed:cool:

Human Traffic was a decent effort I thought, loads of cheese but there were plenty of scenes that were spot on that I related to and recognised. being young and going out poppin pills in the mid-nineties.... Just a bit of fun, summed up that sunny cool britiannia era nicely if you can stomach all the other parts of the film that are a bit shit :S

anyway 89/90 something in the way of the Shane Meadows style of gritty realism is whats needed imo;)

a longer version of this maybe....

im like herpes....never quite fcuk hoff!!!
fekkin shite!

only touched on the surface of how a rave came about, based in 89-90 yet they were using current £10 and £20 notes, clothes were shite/ music was well out. ffs the finer details make all the differance

very badly cast characters with dire manc accents, basicaly to sum it up it was like skins does raving! what was the point of the beefa visit???

even the drugs/dealing was shite, peoples reactions etc were kak.

the best part of the whole film was the first 5 minutes, the 2 main guys doing a blag on a pub and walking out with the fag machine lol getting chased by a very fat and very nekkid geezer lol

thort the film was ok not one of the better clubbing films but funny to watch like when they nick the cig machine and he's bollock naked running after them .:S
is set two years after the acid house scene in madchester in 1990 so why is ken doh's - The Nakasaki ep tune in it every body now's that was relised in 96 ...........
and Son'z Of A Loop Da Loop Era– Far Out / Higher ep was 91 and gat decor -passion was 92 so i dout they will have been played at the blackburn raves ....

yer u would think they would have researched the music better as the music was done by boys own legend terry farley some ov the other tracks too like joey beltrams Second Phase – Mentasm from 91 and kenetic from 92 and the one that realy to...ok the piss for me was JDS – Destiny Calls from 1999 when i heard it on the film i though u taking the piss as i can remember my m8 buying a copy of it from monkey records in leeds , the best 3 songs in the film for me was the two Balearic classics witch were massive tracks in the warehouse days and early 90's Jibaro from 88 and the Blow Monkeys – La Passionara and pennies from heaven and that was from 92 lol.
