Sorry for slow reply. I had no idea you had posted.
Yes I totally agree we are not selling cheap records, if you want cheap record the web already has discogs and eBay.
Vinylsearcher is different, and I will explain why.
First of all we are mainly a marketplace so sellers set the prices.
We don't sell bad quality tunes, we bin them.
All orders a processed by hand and all records are checked.
Many items are stored in warehouses around the world so a three pound tune becomes six quid tune if it coming in from the USA.
We also allow people to order tunes all in one place and pay one delivery price, if you bought 5 tunes on discogs you would have to pay 5 x 3 for delivery.
We actively buy rare tunes to sell on at a profit, we travel far and wide and this costs.
If you email us, we reply, promptly, this also costs.
We provide active finding services for too djs where price is not the issue it the exact tune and mix they want.
I appreciate your comments, if we could sell records for a pound we would but as rare tunes get more rare they cost more to buy. Obvious other costs are hosting the 3 million items, collecting images and YouTube videos. This takes time and also costs. We seek out rare sellers that are not on discogs. But last of all we don't charge sellers fees to sell, this means we have a much larger selection. I realise the average customer wants cheap everything but it not our area of the Market. So if you ever really need a tune, the correct mix, in nice condition and are prepared to pay for it try us out. I have tried to be honest.
