I've heard this song three times now on the radio and each time it's moved me to tears :' One of the most heartfelt and poignant songs i've ever heard if not most:love:

Definitely one song I will be buying when it's released on the 19th and it's all for charity :king:

It's the actual song and lyrics which do it for me mate

Still, it's good to see the lads abroad not forgotten at Christmas

:naughty: ;)

Be like stealing a record from a charity shop:cops:

i was joking.

no i agree something like this should be topping the charts at christmas, but you can bet your bottom dollar it will be Justin Bieber- Mistletoe or x-factor, or even a random tune facebook promted people to buy  but i can't complain as i dont buy songs. mind you although i can't be doing with all the x-factor stuff, i do like that one Alexandra Burke did

Aye, I know you were joking mate

Buble is supposed to have the most advanced sales so far, but as you say there's X Factor and other tunes to contend with.

Be a great result for me anyway if the were to get it and i'm still hoping:thumbsup:

i hope it does Jim its a very touching tune, i can't imagine what it must be like to have someone close to you away at war.
i fill up listening to Waters "when the tigers broke free" those lyrics on there choke me up, i dont think i can name a more powerful tune. and although its a true tune as in Rogers father was killed at war when he was a baby which has haunted and no doubt angered him since, but he wasn't really old enough to know him, which more than likley angered him more the fact he never got a chance to know his dad.
these wives and girlfriends who are singing this nust be far closer to their men, it doesn't bare thinking about really :( i dont know how they handle it, especially this time of year.

Vera & Southampton Dock also put a lump in my throat :(

Aye Waters is brilliant storyteller.

I thought Leaving Beirut on his previous tour was really moving too, with the imagery telling the story of people with nothing looking after him and sharing everything they had when he broke down :(
