^^^ Am sure it will be decent... but for that price I'd probably get myself a second hand DJM-400 instead.

I'm in two minds what to do at the minute. It'll be a good few months yet until I get one anyway so plenty of time to think about it yet.

Would just find the extra cash & get a brand new DJM-400 though to be honest. Dont mind second hand 1210's but this will be my third mixer in three years, having owned a second had technics one that came with my decks (now fooked) plus a vestax one that I've never really been happy with.

Want this next one to last me a long time!

Am I right thinking that the XLR balanced XLR outputs on the djm-250 enable you to just use some of these type of speakers JBL LSR2325P Powered Studio Monitor plugged straight into the mixer.
Could do with freeing up a little space with my deck set up.

As far as I'm aware the djm-400 doesn't have these outputs from what I've read somewhere on the internet.

Tis what I did, 400 is a good little mixer for me. I have a djm500 for the computer too which I've had for about 12 years and good as the day I bought it.....again 2nd hand. Main mixer is Allan & Heath s2 which is a great mixer and got 2nd hand although had only been used once previously.

2nd hand is fine so long as you see and test first. Pioneer are bullet proof with most parts replaceable. Djm250 will be fine but I can recommend the 400 plus 500. 600 is not as strong.

Yes... but the JBLs's also allow for RCA input as well... so should be fine with the 400 as well.

As siman91 says... buying a second hand mixers is fine... just so long as you go along and test it out first. I have never had an issue, and have only had to sell in order to upgrade. Stick with Allan & Heath or Pioneer and you should be fine. They are built like tanks (although i agree with siman91 again, the 600 is a bit of a dud imho).
