Started into the music back in 1990, going to places like The Yard in Mansfield, Zest (again in Mansfield), BYO at Doncaster, Pleasuredome at Skeggy (Festival Pavillion days), Renaissance, Club Kinetic, eventually Vibealite and genrerally the notts hardcore/jungle techno scene.
Use to go to the DiY outdoor raves and the PE2 raves around sherwood forest and various airfields, quarries etc.
Started mixing around same time, then got resident dj in the chillout room at vibelite, started zest off one night, playing at The Yard, Freak Brothers in Notts and other places.
Nowdays having a bit of a renaissance with the old skool, but love my deep house, jacking house, a bit of fidget, old electro.
If I could bring back one thing it would be Rave FM (Notts) - 101.7 - keep it locked.
