wow debs:cool: not sure whats cooler having an author for an uncle of having Mi5/6 in the family haha:D

btw give tinker tailor another try at least cos it does get better. Just overall for me, I felt all the overhype counted against it.

It is cool  even though I do say so myself :$ He's a great man :) He is also in nearly all of his films as an extra ;)

He really was one of the best spy's Britain ever had. He is an amazing author too. Read/see The Perfect Spy - that is his autobiography, and therefore the history of my family. My Great Uncle Ronnie was really really cool (but bad!).

I will give it another go sometime but for now I am going to watch the older version with Alec Guinness to remind myself how good it is :)

Watched this last night:

War Horse (2011) - IMDb

Was average, a little bit boring to be honest.

Also watched this the other night:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) - IMDb

Don't waste your time, the original is MILES better, this one:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) - IMDb

Watched this one too:

The Descendants (2011) - IMDb

Again, a bit boring, not much happens. Mildly amusing in some parts but that's about it :|

There's been a definite lack of good movies for the last 6 months, I've resorted to watching the whole series of Sopranos which rocks :king:

watched the Iron Lady:ba:

Thatcher was a fooking Bitch!! Had to keep this in mind right throughout the film! But, whether the film portrayed her in a sympathetic light or was more damning, wasnt the point. I just wanted to watch Meryl Streep. One of the finest actors out there. So, even tho the film itself is far from brilliant. As far as the leading performance goes, it lives up to the hype, a real tour de force. Probibly an Oscar in the bag. So for that, I recommend it deffo:)

I will never ever watch this film! Got conned into watching Notting Hill and it will never happen again!

on the plus side, Streep's makeup job for the part of the elderly Thatcher, has an uncanny wiff of the overweight, Toblerone munching, mental breakdown Alan Partridge:cool:
