I can't see this being successful myself, but people taking a stance against what's happened in New Zealand seems a really positive thing to do.

If you don't think the censorship of the Internet matters or that it doesn't affect you, read the last point in the image above and consider that YOUR government could just as easily ship you off to America for committing NO crime in your own country.

It's a scary concept to be whisked off to the US for a crime that doesn't exist in your own. These guys have my suport.

The megaupload guys are crooks. Crooks should be punished. People should read up on it before standing in support of them.

This isn't a protest about Megaupload and it's owners per se. Au contraire it's a protest against SOPA and PIPA. Megaupload was one of the casualties and directly through intervention by the US government which has already influenced or directly rewritten the copyright legislation of various countries, most recently New Zealand and Spain, on threat of trade restrictions. Maybe the owners of Megaupload should have been prosecuted for certain offences that may or may not have been committed by them, but through their own system of law.

This could potentially affect everybody though, including all the DJ's here and all those artistically inclined. it will undisputedly affect EVERYBODY who ever surfs the net though by lack of content available on just about every site.

Ive been waiting for the new SSX Game to come out for years and its released during March, so I aint playing fully lol.

But it is utter bollox that the Yanks are getting even close to doing this.

What about these real crims that have child images on sites in countries which it aint frowned upon? Why not export them to the USA for charging?

Oh wait the USA wont make any money from that. Hypocritical to say the least.

Im banned from the USA for another 8 years so does that mean they cant bring me in without giving me a Visa :p

That gif is ace :D

And yep, this is much much more than Megaupload... how the fuck can America demand extradition for crimes that weren't committed in America & in a country where the 'violation' isn't one.

Thin edge of a very dangerous wedge.

Fuck America.

Much Much more. How will they decide if you are broadcasting stuff you have permission to?
