The article is from 2008, and at the time, that opinion was everywhere (not just from him), and aside from niche markets (like you guys) its message had relevance. Being caused by declining vinyl sales, new digital technology and a stinking attitude towards it from those that play only vinyl…(which by the way both 'sides' are guilty of).:S

But now, with vinyl sales up 30% last year (across the board), and a lot of nights (including those that play contemporary music) holding a 'vinyl only' stance…it's out-dated.

I wouldn't get mad about it guys xxx

got to say it did make me mad... so cold like mp3s!! i tried to leave a comment lol and found the comments closed which was proabably a good thing.... love my vinyl and i always will, teaching my daughter to mix vinyl and i know she is asking to be taught by mp3 which i will probably have to do due to availability.... which is a shame.

scanning the net for mp3s just doesnt beat crate digging or standing at the counter wondering what goodies sit behind... oh the rush:D

That there is the tw@tiest thing i've ever read, he evidentaly has no social life. Or idea of why people put significance behind vinyl. The poor sad bugger.
