Pink makes the boys wink....
Would you ever stray away from the old faithfuls? I was just thinking the other day, if my 1200's EVER pack in I may well go for another brand after seeing quite a few reviews and noticing that technics are lagging behind a little..

NEVER!

My 1200's were past it & wanted to upgrade so went for the 1210 MK5 G's.
So happy with them & know they will last for many years to come.:D

Had a do on Danny Dee's Numark TTX's last summer... what a pair of decks! Really really good, LOADS of torque, + and - 16 digital display pitch so no fucking about near 0 like with technics... If I was in the market for a new set of turntables I'd definitely look at these

I would be tempted to with them Numarks but with the pics and great things I have heard about what this guy can do with your technics off fellow members on here and on facebook I would probably go for that.

Checkout the facelift on the fb page of his latest yellow Italo ones , very nice

I can personally vouch for the work these guys do. I bought some decks that had obviously been hammered by the previous keeper (a DJ famous for scratching the shit out of stuff at Bowlers) in his studio and had Ben come and sort them out.

They were picked up in person, carried down 5 flights of stairs (and back) and they had a proper, proper clean, a full service plus new mk5g pitches installed along with new leads and what can I say they were like a new pair of decks.

Absolutely fantastic. phones:

Years ago Technics copy decks were absolutely crap, but times have changed and now there's serious alternatives. The Technics will always have the history and proven reliance going for them, but in some areas now they've fallen behind.

I've got 2x Technics 1210 decks, but i've also got a Stanton STR8-150 in my set up. I prefer the STR8-150 to the Technics, therefore it gets more use than 1 of the 1210's (that's now resigned to being my 3rd deck).

Anyone know the shop hours/opening times/turnaround times?

Can't find any info on the site:S

Be nice if I could drop them off for a service this saturday around lunchtime and pick them up around lunchtime sunday, as i'm up that way for the Jenks reunion.

Ah, well that might scupper those plans then mate. No idea what's involved in a service as mine have never had one, which is probably (/hopefully) why they wont stay in sync very easily when i'm mixing. Well that and because I cranked the pitch adjustment right up years ago ;)

If he could do it in the day though then he could bring them to Jenks :D

Suppose i'd better get my car washed before Gavin comes around to inject his special resin in my crack :$

That is great customer service i wouldn't mind some new bulbs fitted in my Technics SL1200s if he picks them up! depends on the price tho & some dark covers to match my mixer but being able to take the covers off now & then! i know they sell them else where but they just look a bit dull.

One mod that i've just thought of that I would love, is getting rid of the annoying groundwire lead and having it instead grounded by the power cable. I'm not sure if it's possible with a Technics deck (as it doesn't have grounding in the power cable), but it's a great feature that some other decks have
