Hi every body.

Im Richard ive been into house music since the late 80,s
Ive Dj'd in quite a few clubs and illegal partys in the north of england 1992 1993 (bradford dewsbury doncaster leeds etc)

thought id join the forum and say Hi.

Ive managed to get quite a collection of House music over the years with over 10,000 12" records.

NOW THE HARD BIT

ive just moved into a smaller house so my collection needs to be thinned. So i have around 6500 records to get rid of. Ranging from 89 to 2002.

I havent got a list as would take far to long. If anyone is interested please get in touch and your more than welcome to come and have a look through them.

I live in Selby north yorkshire now.

Please dont think i have just joined this forum to get rid of my records as i haven't.
Its gutting having to thin my collection after all this time but needs must im afraid.

Thats me for now ill have a mooch round the forum

Thanks
Rich

Hi Mate

Played Donny warehouse quite a few times in the early 90's before it went too hardcore.

Also played in unc's think it was called. Used to play quite a lot in an old barn all kitted out in Stainforth after hours when the clubs had closed. Was a lad called Mark Brown owned it. Tcikets used to get sold in the pubs n clubs then back to his for an all nighter

Were you from pal ???

Warehouse is still there but I dunno what they play nowadays. It seems to only open for special dos a few times a year. As you say, it got very 'ardcore and junglist in later days.

Don't recognise unc's but the barn you're thinking about is probably The Hacienda, in the countryside around, as you say, Stainforth - right? All knocked down now and it's a caravan site populated by some well dodgy individuals. I never went there but my brother used to go all the time. He was well into the rave scene whereas I was more clubby.

I'm from Doncaster, still here (although I have moved about).

Nice intro, however anyone buying these records from your discogs friend andrew09 should buy with caution. Although he has a 100% feedback , i have seen a few negative feedback removed from his seller feedback recently. Including my negative feedback( which i removed cos i dont like to leave it) worst discogs experience, badly overgraded vinyl, therefore overpriced. Potential OSA buyers beware. . . . Actually i wouldnt be surprised if 'rich-m' was andrew 09, trying to drum up some business?

Given that the OP has invited potential purchasers to come and have a root through his records in person before buying I'd say you're waaaay wide of the mark suggesting he and andrew09 are the same. Don't think he deserves that :naughty:

Didnt realise you have any dealings with, or know rich m? Obviously you can pretend to be anybody you want to be on a forum. I though have purchased records from discogs seller andrew09. The seller took the ++++. And a few neg feedbacks have been removed recently ,maybe pays them off? Mint and near mint records that you pay full price for and find out they are vg or vg+. sure you get refunded the difference if you are not happy. But what a waste of time! Just being honest. If you know any better stanton, let me know. Oh by the way im selling 20,000 records come and check them out if you want. - just proving im genuine:S

Not saying you haven't had genuine probs with andrew09 dude, just that Rich M does seem like a genuine guy given that he's inviting purchasers to see before they buy. Not sure I'd want every Tom, Dick and Harry checking out my gaff in such a trusting way.

Don't know the geezer from Adam myself.

Fair enough stanton, i know where youre coming from. But i have had dealings with the seller. You have not. The seller just wants to flog records to anybody, its easily possible that he could make up a fake user profile. How many other intros ask you to buy records from themselves? An invite to 'come and have a look round' is akin to a stranger saying 'we should go for a pint sometime'. Its all just talk. If you have a bad experience on discogs or ebay or anywhere i expect you would let us know on here to warn others to take caution yes? Rich-m may be real, i hope he is. However seller andrew09 is real, beware. He will try and scam you if he can.

Andrew lives along way from me. we met through discogs with me buying records from him.
ive never had any issues with Andy. Sorry to here about your misfortune with him.

If you dont believe i have the records for sale thats fine. Ive already said i live in Selby and anyone wanting to come and look and buy records for themselves is fine.

I havent joined this forum to be slagged off by some keyboard warrior i havnt even met.
Ive been into House music a very long time now and thought maybe the forum would be full of like minded people.????

I havent joined to sell records i just thought with me moving house and having to store them in the garage which i hate to do. Some one would maybe like to come and buy a few off me.
If thats wrong of me then sorry dont get in touch and dont buy any simple.

I suppose every forum has an untrusting arse on it tough. Looks like your the one on here :(

Cheers

Hi Rich, great you do exist then. Not mistrusting without reason. Just being honest, and definately not into slating people for nothing. So, apologies for mistaking you for someone else. Sounds like youve got an interesting history and a lot of decent vinyl to shift! All the best on OSA

Hi Sorry again for your bad experience with Andrew. If you want to PM me the details ill try sort it out with him for you. Ive not known him long ive bought a few tunes from him but seems a decent fella.

Offered to sell some records for me as im a newbie to discogs and it seems a little complicated ???

I agree with what you say as grading the condition of tunes varies from seller to seller as what i class as mint to what someone else classes as mint is always different.

Ive a big wants list im going to post as ive got to slim my collection of records so im just keeping the belters.
trying to slim to 3000 ish tunes.

Im up for swaps of mine for any on my wants list. You or anyone else as ive said before are more than welcome to come and root through the tunes with a cuppa got the decks rigged up now in new house so summat to play them on if unsure of any tunes.

Im just trying to figure out how to post pics up then i can show off my set up and the boxes and boxes of records in the garage.

Cheers
Rich :D
