I can see his point and with all things that became accessible to the masses then saturation will occur
Club scene is a reflection of modern society, hence underground scene will always have a fanbase more devoted than commercial main stream
Music of the past and present is there for all to enjoy and a good beat is a good beat if its from 89 or 2009 no odds for me I like what I like
Dj culture, well cant comment as I'm not a dj but the flooding of digital formats for music lovers to express there music choice can only be a good thing
Its a choice thing to collect wax or to download mp3's as long as you enjoy it then its all good
Having said all this, I wouldn't listen to a dj playing off a laptop in a club but i started on a laptop so its a great introduction
Looking at the dance scene etc well its still booming with all kinds of gadgets and software used to get the music onto the dance floor
The other side of the coin is how meany potential dj's couldn't get a break due to cost of setting up in the past, now with basic computer skills they can begin to mix and create there own dreams so good luck to the next generation they just all need a cause to follow like we did in the 80's/90's
Once a scene blows then you need to strip it back and take it to the fans not the followers to get the buzz right hence bowlers and the like back in the day for me fkd it up so like most i stayed away and kept to the little dingy shit holes with a smaller crowd but so much more love.
Legends in warrington did something similar once the masses hit it they changed there music to rid the club of the glow sticks and mask crew but this cater's for the few so you make your choice are you the few or are you a sheep who follows the big clubs etc
wtf is reet on about lol
The planet keeps spinning and things progress ...... simple...........
