My bikes are as old as most of my music. I sold my GT Zaskar 1990 a couple of years ago after damaging the frame beyond repair during a fall, due to it being very rare, still sold for £150 for just the frame!!

My current bike is Klient Attitude Comp circa 2000. I have been offered £600 for just the frame when last serviced....not bad considering I got it for £200!

Both pictures not of my bikes. Klien is currently set up for mixed use.

What about a Pashley? I have a friend who is bang into them, they are a pretty bike- Poppy being my fave. You can customize them as well i think- make it a little more personal:

Pashley Poppy - Stratford upon Avon

Looked at those a while ago...bit too 'trendy' here in Leeds now though, which is a shame. I even considered going to the Dam n bringing one of the dutch ones back. Quite fancy a style like the one I put up. I like the mixte frame, which is unisex...and have it looking slightly more unisex, and classic.

Lads, can you imagine me on some souped up thing with suspension, for all those speed bumps I might encounter on my treturous 1.5 mile commute to art school every morning hahahaha.

I can't wait...gotta send him paint samples now...eeeeeee excited! The guy seems so nice too...I wish I had it now...I'd love to go out on my bike now :(

When I used to buy the UK mountain bike mags in the mid to late 90's these seemed to dominate the pages along with Marin and Cannondale and a few others, but they've always been too bloody expensive unless you are going to ride every weekend and push yourself.

I haven't seen many out and about, but then i'm not a hardcore rider hitting the serious stuff, but one I did see once hitting the scariest descent down Winter Hill made me want one more than every as the bit I tried afterwards on my shit 300 pound bike front susser (at the time) nearly ripped my arms apart on the boulders and tore me a new arsehole, before I found a place to bail out. Seriously impressive machines:cool:

Be nice to support a fairly local brand too as they're made in Halifax about 45 miles from here:thumbsup:

What have you got D, another full susser?

I'm looking for something nice and light for the roads and canals, or just riding into town for a latte, or popping down the pub on.

Cranks are raceface downhill spec now instead of the shimano hollotechs there, the headbadge and fork leg badge have now both fell off and are in the cupboard.. Not bad for having been ridden like in that vid for the last two year 3 to 4 times a week..
Unfortunately that's why i'm fucked at cross country now, it uses completey different muscles and energy delivery to cross country

Good stuff:thumbsup:

I intend to do some filming myself sometime now i've got a GoPro HD camera that I bought for snowboarding vids, but also bought a clamp for attaching to the handlebars or seat post of a bike.

If people don't mind being filmed then i'll use it, but be great for filming the riding anyway.

Not of the above riders are camera shy once airbourne

Your 'Goose will be plenty enough bike for Lee quarry mate, mine is really overkill, but there has been times where i hit the black runs a bit to fast, run out of talent and used up the entire 7 inch of travel plus every bit of flex in my arms n legs and come out unscathed miraculously ...
I've done these sections on a hardtail too, obviously with a bit more restraint.. In fact if i recall Ali is riding his Orange MisIlse hardtail in that vid

The pannier is great - holds water and spares, just a little difficult to reach on the move. :$

Pipe is optional lol

 I had a race against Rob Da Bank on one at Glasto a few years back. He was a natural, but I went over the bars.

Harder to ride than they look:$
