The best/worst one for me is off a Keith Capstick tape that Vee has got. Not sure who the MC is, but the line "HYPER HYPER, DANCE LIKE A SPIDER..." has me giggling no end! lol.

x

Edited to add, think it's MC Smoke.... "P.I.A.N.O, PIANO, LET'S GO!"

we dont cause trouble we dont bother nobody.
We're just the men who rock the mike,
when we rock upon the mike we rock the mike right,
la de da ,come up sleep in hell,
just to see you smile and enjoy yourself,
cause its true - my cars in cosy condition cos - i create, thats my mission!

bla bla bla.. THE BEST WELLY BLASTED !!!!
"

Really dont see the point of an MC they just shout total bollox over tunes.- I`m perfectly capable of recognising a good tune on my own & dont need a jumped up nob with a mike tellin me it`s a good tune & to dance to it. Also, regardless of how off it was :fekked: , I always knew where I was, therefore did`nt need the aforemention nob reminding me every 2 minutes & shouting over a perfectly good piece of tuneage :naughty:

Ribbs is my fav, not too much and steered well clear of the mixing.

One of the worst was Mc Ragga - not that his rhymes were bad but just didn't have the voice. Tried to be ghetto when he sounded private school.

Ribbs is a good mc, hes not a bad dj either. Got a set of his from helter skelter @ the leisure bowl.
Always liked Robbie dee as when he knew when to shut up, most of the time, and came out with some classic lines such as "get that dummy out of my face" and "lets have an m25 necking competition, winner gets to go to hospital."
Also liked mc tekno, spesh when he doubled with easygroove.
Mad P used to come up with some strange little sayings such as "one a penny 2 a penny hot cross buns."
Man Paris is the best out there I reckon.
Majika should never have been let anywhere near a club let alone a mic and I never quite understood the fascination some peeps had with sharkey either. :tomato:

well, there was one on a zone tape of vee's "hyper hyper dance like a spider!!" wtf...

but drum and bass mc's are by far the most annoying bastards on the planet!

"mc spider, black tarrantula, vauxhall nova, drive like joyrider" what a dick head!

there was fucking loads wasn't there!!!! Vibes and livelee were my faves back in the day (remember man paris too etc etc)

when i took sonz to her first rave a few years back...dj sy was on, with his faithfull sidekick MC STORM...there was obviously a new generation of ravers there compared to when i used to go years before that...but bless him-i knew ALL the words to his rhymes...obviously listened to the tapes millions of times-but you would have thought the squeaky voiced fucker could have come up with some new material after all these years...and what-is he about 40 now???? sad sad sad...

Ha ha! Yeah I've got to agree with you there :D  Although when I was at Cream Fields a few years ago I saw a brilliant MC in the Metal Heads tent, probably the only time I've actual enjoyed the MC'ing part and I can't for the life of me remember who it was :D :fekked:

Agree with a lot of the posts above, MC's ruin good tunes. It was more tasteful in the eary 90's and the mc's didnt overpower the tunes, with kids these days the mc is the most prominant thing and not the track. I like Bibbi and Dredd from back in the day (but suppose I am biased).

I remember MC Domino @ Park Hall (Chorley) coming out with lines like

"When i was a little boy, my brother gave me a brand new toy , give me a pill give me mic, im gonna rock you, hold tight"

"One time BBC 2 Phil Meredith coming at you"

Always made me laugh lol lol lol
